The Island Snow WAS the best around. However, due to the construction on the corner, the Island is no more!

My first shaved ice! The toasted coconut and peach combo was flavorful and smooth. My friend got kiwi and raspberry — the kiwi tasted like kiwi and was surprisingly refreshing; the raspberry was classic. My other friend said the texture was fluffy on her sugar-free strawberry, and liked it.

Very reasonable prices when u compare to other similar places. This place makes me look forward to Summer because then I can get a shaved ice. I like black cherry with cream or a dreamsicle. Yum!

I can’t believe there isn’t a review for this place all ready. There wasn’t a category for snowballs so I apologize for putting it under ice cream category. This place is a small little shack on the corner of N. Spring Drive and Aldine Westfied. They have some of the best snowballs that I’ve ever had. The reason is they use cream with their syrups. The prices aren’t bad either a large is $ 2.50, think the medium is $ 2.00 and the small $ 1.50. The ice is finely shaved and melts easily in your mouth. I’m a huge fan of the toasted coconut and my friend loves the chocolate which is an additional 50 cents. They close for the winter so I was so happy to see it open again and apparently so were the other people that formed the line outside the place. Don’t worry though the line moves very fast. Love this place!
