Jurassic Quest Inc

Summary– a bunch of beat up animatronics, dirty (but cool) bounce houses, and dinosaur «rides» dropped into whatever location they find. Uninspired and seemingly overworked staff and long lines are the lesson of the day. We went really early which seemed to be a good idea as the lines were getting insane around 1pm.
Ticket pricing is kinda a scam, basically you just need to buy the VIP for the kids, so $ 22 a kid. Kids under two aren’t really free because you still have to pay for bounce houses/​rides/​etc. An infant would be free. I probably wouldn’t go again considering it was $ 66.
Basically this consists of–
Area where you walk through and view large animatronics of various dinosaurs. It’s about as educational as a pet store, but younger kids are happy. Many of the Dino’s look like they have had better days and have been carted from place to place a dozen too many times, holes where you can see framing, arms broken and not working, etc.
Dinosaur «rides» which are stationery dinosaurs that don’t really do anything, kids sit on top, the head kinda moves, and you take their pic. The lines for these move super slow too.
Bounce houses– cool bounce houses, but they are dirty, beat up, and poorly supervised. The staff were trying, but their were just too many kids per staff person for them to be truly effective in keeping it orderly. The toddler bounce house was like half inflated and looked like it may collapse any second. I also didn’t like that there was no size limits or control, meaning a 30lb kid is being climbed over by a much larger kid.
The baby dinosaur (a guy’s arm in a puppet) was cool but the guy was hungover/​bored and not really selling it. The crowd around this when we left midday was nuts.
There are other side activities like face painting, bad food, popcorn, germs, and outhouses.

The experience was great for my three old and five year old boys. The next experience will have my other boy that will be two. So all three boys will be there for the next one.

My 4 year old totally loved Jurassic Quest and seeing all the dinosaurs. My only is would be with the venue. It was too small for the amount of people that attended.

Jurassic Quest came twice to Shasta County in the same year. I took my kids (4 and 5 years) both times and we were there almost 8 hours both times. It was worth the price of admission, the dinosaurs were huge and loud and took a little time to warm up to for some children, but they also have the greatest bounce houses I’ve ever seen, plus art activities, we went back and forth over and over. The staff we met were friendly and helpful and must be well trained, they did a great job. We will go again if they return.

We had a ton of fun. The event was EXTREMELY crowded, but you can’t fault them for that! I have a 3 year old and she had a blast. The staff was very helpful!

It was really fun. My nephew is really into Dinosaurs and they looked almost real. They were huge, they moved, and made noise. It was nicely lit as well. The play area was fun. They had food and activities the children can participate in. Lots of fun that day

My wife and I took our 3 year old son who is crazy about dinosaurs. While Me and my wife thought everything was old and kinda lame, our son really had a lot of fun. Obviously everything is overpriced but stuff for kids usually is. The worst part of this was the employees, it is fine to hire young kids but there was obviously no leadership or training in place. Almost all of them were on smart phones or laptops and would only look up if you approached and even then they didn’t even put in the effort to pretend they care about kids. If they are treated with no respect and are underpaid then I can excuse it but geez, that needs fixed. But like I said, my son had a great time and that’s what counts.

Had a blast. I brought my 5 yr old to the Salinas, Ca stop. He & I enjoyed everything! I can’t wait to go again.

I took my 4 yr old girl and 8 yr old boy to this event this weekend in Salinas Ca. I was not sure what to expect. at first i was a little disoriented with the process. but once I studied the layout and read the signs it was smooth sailing. My children where so happy and excited to be able to interact with the dinosaurs it made the trip to Salinas all worth while. in addition the Robotic Dino’s where amazing. I also discovered that the $ 25. VIP was well wroth the cost. if you think about it, we spend so much money at amusement parks just to get in. lets not forget the fair. pay to get in pay to ride rides pay for looking… the cost justified the event looking forward to taking my children the next time they are in town. Almost forgot my kids gave this event a TWO THUMBS UP! after all is said and done. there option matters most to me.

Had a surprisingly great time with the kids at Jurassic Quest! It was great that it was all indoors due to the nasty weather. The 1^st building had realistic looking dinosaurs (May be a little scary for very young children), and the 2^nd building had an area where the kids could «bounce around» with jump/​slide houses, ride dinosaurs, and dig up bones! Overall, we had a lot of fun!

Decided to take the kids to Jurassic Quest to let them unwind and for me and the wife to enjoy «family time.» I was stunned as to how much detail was put into the animatronics and displays! None of the Dinosaurs looked cheesy, and they all moved well. What was even better was the 2^nd exhibit where the kids could do Dinosaur bone digging, inflatable jumpers, and ACTUALLY ride Dino’s! Our kids had a blast and so did my wife and I. We’ll definitely do it again next time Jurassic Quest is in town!

I really liked this exhibit~ while I know very little about dinosaurs they all looked real and kinda scary. The part of the exhibit where the T Rex and a flying Dino bird like thing are moving & growling (I think that’s what u would call it?) with the blood oozing is pretty cool. Lots of Dino noises and life like situations.
For the little kids the bouncy room is a nice relief~

I attended this with my 9 year old son at the Santa Rosa, CA show March 9^th. I have to say first, as a parent you need to do a bit of research and set expectations. I actually won tickets to this show on the radio. I did a bit of research with the comments etc and set expectations with my son. I told this this wasn’t Disneyland but a exhibit, much like a museum, to go to for a hour or so and maybe jump a bit in the bounce houses. i agree with others that the webpage over sells the exhibit. Had I had to pay for this out of my own pocket I would have not gone. It did have a few large moving models when you walked in, which took about 10 min to see, then it opens up to the area with the jump house, face painting, sand box, ride on dinos etc. We had a wristband for the jump house and he did it for two sessions and tired out after that.
Over all, it is an ok exhibit, but I think the pricing is wrong. I don’t mind paying $ 20 for my kids if they get to see some dinosaurs, and bounce and ride for a few hours. this is comparable to my local mini golf and about the same amount of time and fun factor. But to have to pay for the parents, i think is wrong. parents should maybe be $ 5 and then the kids $ 20.this makes it affordable for the family. Right now with the parents paying $ 18 and really nothing to do but sit down and wait for the kids to tire out of running around is really a rip off.
also the web site is really over selling what this is and needs to be corrected.

I agree with Tiare. We attended this event in Pleasanton, CA on 2÷9÷2014. This exhibition was overrated and over priced. There was definitely not 50 dino’s exhibited, and the ones we saw looked totally unreal. The dino’s movements were so obviously mechanical. I will never bring my daughter to another Jurassic Quest event.

This was the worst event I have ever taken my son to. The advertising and website make this event look amazing and well worth the ticket price. The website boasts of having 50 life like dinosaurs. There were maybe 15, which only half were in working order. They claim to have towering inflatable dinosaurs, rides, and learning experiences. What they do NOT tell you is that after I paid the $ 58 ticket price (for me, my boyfirend, and son) to get in, an entrance fee really, everything else was an additional charge. With that said how do you enter an event center with your child and tell them no we will not spend an additional $ 40 for a ride, dino bounce house, sand box bone dig, and face paint. The learning experience was just that, a sand box for $ 10. Your child can take a cleaning brush and dust sand off bones that are not even buried. Great! The bounce house was 5 minutes total and then the children are told «times up» and escorted out. I can think of better ways to burn money per minute. All in all it was not worth the $ 98 total price. Massive disappointment.
