History

Established in 1987.

When I first began working as a professional psychic in Houston, TX, in the 1980’s, not much was known or understood about the practice of channeling, which refers to the direct communication human beings can develop with their guardian angels. People heard about my work through newspaper interviews, my weekly readings for listeners on KRBE and KIKK radio stations, and appearances on local and national TV shows. I have written five books, created an advice column «Ask Kim», for the Indigo Sun Magazine, conduct online classes, in-​person workshops, free channeling events open to the public in Houston, and work as a field speaker for Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. traveling the US teaching others how to develop their psychic ability in weekend and full-​day workshops. I should have known that Kim was not on the level when she started our phone session asking me about my age. The man who sets up her phone appointments had said to me that the client’s age would not come up. I hesitated when she asked, but did not complain. I gave her my age. I immediately realized that I had made a major mistake. Kim immediately began to tailor her comments to fit the general profile of women in my age bracket. «You’re going through a transition period», she said.
The reading went downhill from there.
I happen to be Hispanic. Naturally, three of my six angels had Hispanic names. Coincidence? I think not.
She talked about my meeting the most amazing man (this will happen soon, of course), who will sweep me off my feet. I should forget about the man who is in my life right now, as he is not serious about having a relationship with me. In fact, this man has demonstrated that he absolutely wants to deepen our relationship.
The man of my future and I will travel all over the world (I avoid travel as much as possible). I guess he will be quite wealthy too. But there’s more: I’ll be taking amazing photographs, worthy of being published. She made sure to mention that he and I would meet in a neighborhood that is close to mine (of course, she has my address). I never go to that neighborhood!
She kept talking about my children. Not wanting to embarrass her, I didn’t tell her that I don’t have children.
In the area of «work» she wisely recommended that I should work on my resume. She described me as a real «people person» who would be very good at running a therapist’s office. As it turns out, I am a very reserved and shy person. I’m assuming that the job she chose for me is based on her assumptions regarding my educational level. I happen to have a doctorate. Yes. I should have known better.
Her comments about my health «issues» couldn’t have been more off the mark. Apparently, my gall bladder will have to come out next year. We’ll see… Kim told me to avoid all dairy products. I think I’ll check with my doctor.
She recommended walking and stretching as the best forms of exercise for me. Perfect for people my age! At the beginning of the session Kim told me that the hour would go really fast. Of course! She keeps saying the same things over and over again. I had to interrupt her to change the subject.
I have to echo Leslie S.‘s comment: «I feel like a complete idiot for having paid for psychic services from Kim O’Neill. What a WASTE of money.»
I was a skeptic before the reading. Now, I’m a total non-​believer in psychics.

I went to see Kim O’Neill in the mid to late 1990’s and she gave me a lot of mixed up information including her own. I made major life decisions based on the readings I paid her for, and today I am still divorced and am now homeless and broke. I really thought my Angels were going to help me because of what she told me after reading her first book, but my life and those of my two children have been full of difficult struggles and suffering. She cancelled my last appointment two days before I was going to try to get the truth about these readings, and she told me she was not comfortable channeling for me anymore. And for some reason she has been called Houston’s top psychic! Talk about faith shattering!

Very accurate. I had a reading and it all made sense. The messages from my angels felt on point. My husband and my mother also had a reading. My mother was able to communicate with her father through Kim. He recently passed away. There was no doubt that she did in fact communicate with my grandfather because of the things that were said. She used wording that matched his personality 100%. She could not have done that if she were a fake like some of the other reviews propose. She also was correct in the thoughts she described that my mother had been thinking and hadn’t told anyone. Before contacting Kim, I read a couple of her books. They were great and made me feel confident in her. I would recommend Kim if you are in need of detailed answers and advice and are not able to channel that information on your own.

I had another reading with Kim and I’ll have to revise my opinion.
I had a reading with her a year and a half ago. Some of what she said was spot on, some sounded like good advice. However, some was not. And she was specific about future happenings and dates, none of which have happened. I believe that she uses her imagination to fill in the gaps.
She seems to recommend a vegan diet to everyone (per Google she;s a vegan). I don’t want health advice for her, but she always gives it.
I had hoped she would back up her earlier reading, but instead she went off and came up with a whole new career path and new and different health issues.
The way she does her readings seems potentially harmful (for me she recommended immediate surgery and a diet that almost ruined my health before.) You really have to sort out what is true and what is not.
I was kind of surprised to see that my last review of her was «not recommended» and not included in the ratings. I thought it was balanced and fact-​based, if a bit naïve. It was the only positive one. I’ll have to make sure I look at the not recommended ratings whenever I use Unilocal from now on.
We’ll have to see if this one makes it.

I had a one hour session with Kim in 2009, so it has been long enough to judge her predictions. None came close to being true. After checking with others who have had sessions here’s her formula: you will be a writer (occasionally an artist). Single people will meet the love of their life with a heart mind soul connection. And she throws in a couple of past lives whether you ask for it or not. No one I know has had anything come true. In my case one of my past lives was a nun who died in the Galveston hurricane early in the 20th century. Living in Toldeo, Ohio at the time I had never heard of the storm and was impressed.
I have just move to Houston, TX (which Kim said would NEVER happen). I checked on the flood information and everyone studies it in grade school. Since Kim is from Texas I assume she learned about it too. I went to the website honoring the victims and there was the story of the nun — supposedly my story. It appeared Kim had read it off word for word. I am crushed.
Bottom line — she may have the skills, but marketing is her strong suit. She seems to have a formula down to pat. If she believes in spirit at all she must realize she will have a karmic debt to pay for all the people she is ripping off. The sad thing is she is toying with their hearts and dreams, not just their wallets.

I feel like a complete idiot for having paid for psychic services from Kim O’Neill. What a WASTE of money. I had a one hour reading from her and quite early on into the reading I began having regrets since I could already tell she was «off» and basically sounded like she was making stuff up. Don’t be a dumbass like me.
