We specialize in showing you the amazing insights of horses thru nature and love of the animals. By doing lessons and trailrides for kids, adults and families. We will assist you in doing an adoption or rescue of an abused horse. Can assist you in the feeding of a starved animal or care of wounds. We are approved to adopt from SPCA and Bluebonnet Rescues but mainly our rescues find us. When I get the call I say the animal used the human as a conduit to talk to me for the animal. And then again if you raise kids with horses you teach them responsibility, a work ethic, respect and grow their hearts bigger…

History

Established in 2000.

We are family owned and operated. I Toni have 40 years of riding experience. I train horses using the John Lyons method. I love all animals and children and get along with all people. I take bad past experiences and make them good give great new experiences and love to do the romantic experiences as we do small horseback weddings. Also great at making great family memories and great friends. Come early leave late and bring lots of carrots or apples as we have 55 horses on the property, 2 pigs, 1 goat, 3 bunnies, 3 dogs (friendly), 2 cows and 10 chickens. Come play with us.

Hi there ya’ll. I am Toni owner along with my husband Jim. I have been riding horses for 40 years. Did showing at state fairs, barrel racing, trail rides, beach rides, and lessons when I was younger. I recieved my first horse when I was eleven and have had them ever since. My passion is giving people safe and pleasant experiences. Taking people who have had bad experiences and healing them with good experiences. Rescueing starved and injured horses and bringing them back to live full lives. We currently own 32 horses of which 19 are rescues that go out on rides. Come meet the horses I gave my daughters when they out grew their ponies 21 years ago. Swen is 31 and Cajun is 30. They still ride. And dont forget bring the carrots and apples as there are 55 horses on the property along with 1 goat, 2 pigs, 2 cows, 3 rabbits and 3 dogs that are super friendly! SO MUCH FUN! Called in the morning, and Mrs. Toni was able to accommodate us the same day (just one hour later). Upon arrival all the horses were saddled and ready to go. The guide, Mrs. Toni, really took her time with us. The trail was so much fun, we went thru water and were even able to gallop the horses! What really made the visit so special was the staff, they cared so much! Mrs. Toni asked us questions about ourselves, took pictures of us, and let us feed the horses carrots after the ride.
It is clear that the staff has a passion for horses, and for their customers. This is by no means a «corporation.» They really tailor the ride to you! Do yourself a favor and go for a ride at Loveland Ranch, you will not be disappointed! I rode Dakota, and my friends rode Mr. T and Chester Cheeta — such great horses!

I bought the 5 hour Trail-riding via groupon.
Here’s some tips for other city folk:
— Your GPS is not lying, the ranch is right at the corner on Plum Creek Dr. There is a little green sign where the entrance is. It’s the driveway right after the Knights of Columbus sign.
— Bring water. There are 2 satchels on the horse that can fit 2 water bottles each.
— Wear sunscreen. The ride is between 12 – 5, peak sun intensity
— Wear jeans. Have you seen a cowboy in shorts? Jeans protect you from the sun, mosquitoes, horse fly’s, and tree’s/bushes when your horse veers off to the side of the trail. You can also wear boots or tennis shoes. T shirt or long sleeves. I would recommend long sleeves for sun, mosquito, and tree protection.
— You don’t have to bring food, they stop at a church halfway through and there is a nearby krogers, burger king, subway.
— Not much instruction is given. Kick the horse to go, pull back on the reigns to stop. Left and right on the reigns to go left and right.
— Depending on the water levels, there may be creeks that go up to the horse’s belly. So you’re shoes might get wet.
— On a hot day, the horses like to lie down in the water to cool down so you have to keep kicking the horse while going through bodies of water. This also means don’t bring expensive electronics just in case you end up in water or drop them. Put a water proof case/bag over your phone or risk it.
— Your butt and thighs will be sore. Get ready.

I love riding with Loveland ranch. They have horses for every level. My sister and I went on a 2 hour ride, she hadn’t been on a horse in years. It was a blast. Riding thru the woods, across the creek — thru the water. Even though it is close to town, once you get on the spring creek trail system, you are far away from the hustle and bustle of life. Definitely would go back.

I went on another 5 hour trail ride on Sunday with Toni and her crew and had a blast as usual. We had lots of fun enjoying the scenery, riding next to the R/R tracks, going through Old Town Spring, wading through a running creek, and if you dared to try it — running the horses in the sand! All levels of experience are welcome on the ride. The excursion is worth so much more than the price you pay. BTW: I was on the same trail ride as the individual who wrote that awful negative review and I know exactly which individual it was just by the tone of the review. I had a blast on that ride. Toni and her crew do not get drunk at all on the ride. All they do is have fun and in turn the guests have fun. The individual who wrote that one negative review was the one who complained about everything on that ride. Nothing satisfied her. I have definitely become a regular on Toni’s Sunday rides. I highly recommend Loveland Ranch and its crew. They get a two thumbs up and then some! :)

Awesome place! Perfect place to go REAL trail riding… my husband and I loved it so much here we now volunteer on Sundays to help out with the horses. Very friendly people and awesome country feel of the whole horse back riding experience. I definitely recommend coming here.

So much fun! A romantic and authentic walk through the forest. I rode horses as a child and this brought me back. The owner and leader of the pack is a super chill and experienced lady. She took us through the forest and then to a little bar/restaurant called «the track shack» (it’s by the train tracks). Beers there are only $ 2.25! And there was live music. I loved my horse, Z. And there was a little doggie that came along too. Really just the most magical experience. Loved it!

I had a wonderful experience with the entire staff of Loveland Ranch. Ms. Toni was fantastic with our entire group. We brought some friends who were visiting from California and the entire staff made sure we felt comfortable and were safe. I was a little scared at first but the helpers and Ms. Toni were great about helping you and ensuring you are confident with your horse. This really is a great experience I would recommend to anyone. My husband and I will most definitely be back.

Would never go back, they have no care whatsoever for anyone’s safety. They will pay for it someday. Stop getting drunk and run your business correctly.
