Spring Cypress Modern Dentistry

I haven’t been to the dentist for about a year now and I’ve been looking around for something close to home. I wanted to get estimates on dental work around my area and after calling two places (who were either reluctant to give me general estimates or did not give me ANY information), Spring Cypress Modern Dentistry was very open and kind. BOOM! I thought I have to go here!
I made an appointment right away and was greeted by Paige. She was lovely and cheerful. I was quickly greeted by Dr. Patel and shown to a clean room. She introduced herself and went over what I was in for. She was amazing and explained my dental plan very thoroughly.
The quality of service and the excellent staff was great. I am definitely coming back.

I did think this was a great place in the begining. However, there should have been a red flag that hit me with my initial visit. I will try and make this as short and accurate as I can. I had a filling fall out that I had for quite a while. The tooth did not hurt at all when hot or cold hit it. I could tap on it and it didn’t hurt. Dr. Patel said she was sure I needed a root canal. My next visit in I told her I had a second opinion (which i did not) she then said no I don’t need one. So she then says I need a crown because she didn’t think a new filling would hold. The office admin said they checked my ins. and I would never have to pay more than they stated in the office. That they were all about upfront costs and no surprises. Well, I got a call from my insurance saying that the dentist was billing them for x rays that weren’t preformed. The dentist finally submitted the correct billing info to my insurance. Then after I get my crown done the insurance rejects the claim because the dentisrty cannot prove the build up they said was done to support the crown. Also, that a filling would have sufficed according to their Dental Review Board (which has actual dentists on it) They had a second chance to apeal and did not provide proof of the build up they tried to charge for. I then get billed by Spring Cypress Modern for over 400.00 and they said now it’s my responsibility. I called, complained and they were supposed to get back with me on why they didn’t do their job and submit the forms needed if they truly had performed the build up. The next letter I get is a collection notice. Really! This place is the biggest con. Overbilling insurance, reccomended procedures that are not truly needed. Screw this palce I would never reccomend them or patronise them again! 11÷4÷14 Decided to edit instead of update so my rating will still reflect as a top 5 on here. It’s quite obvious this place is trying to pad their rating. Look at the reviews that didn’t make the top 5. All of the sudden out of nowhere they get 10 5 star ratings in the month of July alone. These are «new» Unilocalers all of them. They are making up emails to write reviews or just simply giving a discount for ppl to give them 5 stars. This is my opinion you be the judge though. As for me I call bs.

They are salespeople, not healthcare professionals! Very unethical
Very short summary of my experience there:
–Wife needed periodontal work
–wife got treatment plan from their periodontal specialist. Total out if pocket under $ 300
— dentist (not a periodontist) reviewed plan. Said it wouldn’t work.
–dentist wanted to do more work $ 1800 out of pocket.
— I asked why, they said the treatment didn’t meet their standard of care, although they had never examined my wife. Only the specialist had.
— they contacted their specialist, who would perform the procedure, she said the original treatment plan was still best.
–I spoke to the people at their sister location, where the original periodontal consultation occurred. They said the original treatment plan was best.
— spring cypress modern dental still refused to do the procedure unless we included extensive unnecessary expensive work.
–my wife’s work will be done at their sister location, where the specialist and the dental team were in agreement that spring cypress was recommending unnecessary work.
It is very clear this office is primarily concerned with increasing revenue rather than providing proper care. They are unethical.

Amazing doctor and staff! I have been going here for over a year and have taken in my husband and my 4 year old son. The office is very professional, friendly, clean, and affordable. I work in healthcare, and I know a great clinic when I see one!

I wish my experience was as positive as everyone else’s. The staff is really nice but Dr Jackson is a horrible dentist. I went in for a tooth that had been bothering me. It hurt but it wasn’t excrutiating. They did xrays and recommended an extraxtion and bridge. My insurance wouldnt cover it so they had me take out a loan. I later found out that they lied about my income to get the money they wanted, but I should have checked it closer. So the good doctor cannot administer novacain. Ive never had an injection hurt that bad, but I sucked it up and got through it. After they did the extraction and I had to demand to see the tooth and to my surprise it was hardly damaged at all. But they couldn’t exactly put it back at this point. Then she drilled the teeth to attach the bridge. The back one is fine but she drilled down to the nerve on the front one and it’s been agonizing — far worse than the tooth I initially went in for. The temp bridge was agony. Weeks with an exposed nerve but I thought the bridge would fix that. Wrong. I hurt so bad I had to call in from work because the pain kept me up all night. I went in to have them fix it and the xray tech jabbed the corner of the disk into my gums to the point of bleeding and then told me it was supposed to hurt. I asked for a different tech. So the doctor told me she had to test my sensitivity. My teeth are sensitive. I can’t stand the friction from polishers to clean them and she proceeds to stick dry ice to my teeth. I am literally screaming, crying, and seeing stars from the amount of pain she put me through. In my almost 40 years I have never had a dentist hurt me this bad. She then proceeded to adjust my bite and tell me that if that didn’t fix it I’d have to pay for a root canal because it’s totally not her fault that she drilled too much but they’d replace the bridge at no cost to me. Gee, thanks. The adjustment didn’t fix it and since I can’t afford a root canal I’m managing pain as best I can with Tylenol and watching what I eat (hot, cold, hard, etc) And now they’re demanding payment of an additional $ 65 for I know not what. Worst dental experience ever.

Super nice and friendly. First time customers get a 59 dollars for a cleaning and xrays. Not a bad deal at all. They are very clean. They have early appointments which is great if you want to work in a cleaning before work or school.

I never trusted dentist before. It was always painful cleanings with derogatory remarks about my dental hygiene. The actual dentist would be some old guy who only visits the last 30 seconds to point out everything wrong on an x-​ray hidden from my view. So I stopped going for 10 years.
Eventually I decided I should go and found this place. It was completely different from past experiences.
Friendly and enthusiastic young staff. Despite not going for 10 years, they never talked down to me about that. They used modern x-​ray and cleaning equipment — felt almost futuristic. Pain free cleaning — surprising considering I had 10 years of build up. The actual dentist Dr. Patel was friendly and constantly around and talked to me several times. And the x-​rays were constantly in my view, so no secrets.
First dentist I trust, and the best dental experience I have had. I will be returning in 6 months.

I put off going to the dentist for many, many years out of fear. Dr. Patel and her staff could not have made my much anticipated visit any more comfortable! From beginning to end the entire office staff was top notch. I was extremely pleased with the cost of my services and how my options were presented to me. As far as quality of work done by Dr Patel… I cant say enough! My confidence was shot before the visit, and with the great work she did I feel like a new person! Completely satisfied and impressed with my results! I highly recommend her services! Only wish I had found this sooner!
