History

Established in 2007.

In 2007 we decided to move our families to Texas. It was a great migration. We packed up everything (including the pasture), buckled in the kids (because it’s the law) and settled in the beautiful hill country of Austin, TX.

The move led us to develop the Art of Mooving. It’s a new way to get you and your belongings from here to there in a pleasant, fun, safe and satisfying way. Our Texas movers aren’t temps or subs, they’re people we know and trust. We pack our own trucks, so your stuff is in the same capable hooves from start to finish.

In January of 2012, we are proud to say that we have expanded our pastures and have opened our Houston Square Cow Moover location. Located on the North side of Spring, we are now serving Houston with our unsurpassed service for local and long distance Mooving.

Manager

Ken was a close friend to us when he lived in Austin, TX. We were thrilled when Ken agreed to join the team several years ago. We were even happier when he said that he wanted to move his family to Houston to help evangelize the Square Cow brand in a new market. Now, years later, Ken is helping to lead the charge in this growing community. His resilience and dedication are second to none. We have never seen less than 100% from Ken. I’m an interior designer in The Woodlands area and I regularly use Square Cow Moovers for all of my clients installations. I’ve been designing homes in the Houston area since 2007 and I’ve used MANY movers over the years. No other moving company has even come close to providing the level of service that Square Cow does. ALL of their guys are extremely respectful, always on time, they are quick and efficient, and all of the guys seem to genuinely like their jobs (their managers are great guys too, so no surprise there!). I really cannot say enough good things about Square Cow. I’m so glad I found them and I will continue to work with them on every job for years to come.

This is my first time using movers but since we we had accumulated a lot of stuff, we decided that the job was too big for us to handle ourselves. I called around and got quotes and these guys had the best prices I could find.
Come move day, they called at exactly 8am to let me know they were leaving their shop and arrived shortly after at my home ready to move. I figured since I was paying them by the hour they would be slow moving to try to run up the clock but boy was I wrong!!! They quickly got to work loading their truck and even jogging back up my stairs to get more things. Everything was professionally wrapped and arrived safely at the new home. They quickly unpacked and reassembled everything. I have no complaints. They were so kind, courteous, quick, and very helpful. I thought moving was going to be an all day process because we had so much stuff but we were complete moved out of our old home and into our new home in a little over three hours!!!
I will be recommending them to everyone I know who is moving!!! Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart (Will, Antonio, and Demontay)!!

From beginning to end, this was the most professional company I’ve dealt with as far as movers are concerned. Management was polite, and the movers Michael and Chris were professional, fast, and honest. They were very careful and moved me in a timely manner from my office to my storage space. I have never paid anyone to move my furniture before, so I was a little leery. However, from the moment I booked my move, to the moment they left the drop off site, I was very pleased. Their professionalism and friendliness kept me at ease the whole time. I never once worried about one little thing. I will definitely be using them again!

I have used Square Cow twice now and have been very impressed. The team is very professional, and know what they are doing. I have recommended them on numerous occasions because of their detail for your belongs and honesty. They have an actual truck versus a truck trailer used by other The Woodlands area moving companies. The team was quick and made the stresses of moving less stressful. Ken is very easy to communicate with, put in as much work as his team, and was very adaptable. I would highly recommend again.

Last year we chose some movers without looking at ratings first and we paid the price big time. This year we decided to research the best moving companies in the woodlands and saw that square cow was top three in the area and decided to give them a try. We are so glad we did.
Matt, Jeffuan, and Ryan from square cow showed up on time and were very professional over the phone and in person. Once at my home they wasted no time in getting to work. During the move one of the movers had to leave to tend to an emergency and the owner or supervisor, Jose quickly sent a replacement and even showed up to our home to apologize. The replacement Nicolas was also awesome.
Few movers that we have used have had the communication and defined roles that this crew had. Jeffuan stayed in the truck mostly to pack and did a fantastic job with making sure our furniture survived the 180 Mile trek to San Antonio. He even received compliments from our movers in San Antonio for his packing job. Matt, Ryan and Nicolas did a great job in moving everything out of the house as quickly as possible, but did so carefully without breaking or damaging a single item.
We have moved 7 times in the past 5 years and square Cow movers was by far the best experience we have had with a moving company. They did not surprise us with any hidden fees, the crew they sent was excellent and motivated to do a good job, and very friendly. I highly recommend these guys.

By far the best experience I have had with movers… These guys are professional, respectful, very courteous, full of energy and positive attitude. They packed up our place then moved us into the new place all at a great price. It was worth every penny… I lived in a mid-​rise building and they had to move a piano down 2 flights of stairs… never a complaint they all pulled together as a team and were very careful and pulled it off with class… The team of four guys were very fun to work with… lots of fun moments and laughter along the way… From the moment I called this company everything was seamless… No answering machines or back and forth… They answered the phone and if they were preoccupied they made sure to secure a great time to call back… I do not plan on moving again for a long time but if I do these will be my go to people and I will recommend them to anyone… Great service, Great professionalism…

I recently needed some movers a little last minute and these guys were the very best! They were so quick, easy to contact, and great to work with. The day I called to schedule I talked with Ken and he was very efficient, sent me a confirmation email right away, and was able to accommodate my requests. The day of the move I was greeted by three very professional guys who were quick to assess what I needed and were extremely eager to do a great job. Antonio, Howard, and JR were the best! They moved fast but took great care of my items, working as a team they had me all packed and ready in no time. Once at my new place, they again worked to have the truck unloaded fast and didn’t waste any time. I noticed the entire time how professional, polite, and nice they were. I also liked that I could pay with a credit card. I sincerely appreciated the help and would call these movers anytime.

Luis and Mark did my move on Saturday. What an awesome couple of guys. Quick, nice, respectful and just all around nice guys. I completely recommend them to anyone. I’m a single mom who didn’t have the ability to move anything on my own, not only did they break my stuff down but they put it back together in my new place and even though I’m sure they were tired when they left they were still smiling. Thanks you guys and Square Cow give these guys a raise!

They showed up ready to get moving! They quickly wrapped a few pieces of furniture to protect it from getting banged up and then started the lifting. We moved out of a 2nd floor apartment and into a 3rd floor apartment, so there were a lot of stairs that day! The guys were quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend this company to others looking for a moving company!
I have two suggestions. 1) they should update their discount information on Villasport’s website. They ended up allowing me to use it but apparently it was out of date and created a little confusion. 2) I would also suggest they call the evening before to confirm your appointment on moving day.

Money well spent!!! Moved from Clear Lake to Montgomery. Ken and Chris set me up with 4 movers and 2 trucks to move. It’s exactly what we needed. The trucks were new, clean and looked professional. The guys themselves were respectful and worked hard. There were torrential downpours this day. All of my furniture and belongings arrived just as I had left them, not even a scratch! They took the time to hook up all my stuff, move everything exactly where we wanted it and left with a smile on their face. I’m very happy we found them after hearing all sorts of stories about other company’s.

It’s often unnerving to schedule movers to assist you in the dreadful moving process because you aren’t sure if they’ll be professional, kind, or reasonably priced and efficient.
However, I chose to pay Square Cow Movers to take on the chore of moving my stuff last June and they were incredibly efficient, extremely well-​mannered, and treated my belongings as if they were their own.
Because of that wonderful experience and Ken Skadal’s excellent and quick communication skills, I just recently (May 22nd) paid them to move me again (mind you, these are all 3rd floor to 3rd floor moves).
The gentlemen that assisted me in my move were: Jermaine Morris, Walt Bain, and Naim Hunter. They were genuinely friendly and worked tirelessly to get the job done while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.
I will always choose Square Cow Movers over the competitors. Thank you so much, guys!

My review echos all of the rest of these smart Unilocalers. The guys from Square Cow are really good. Ken was very respectful and helpful when I kept changing our move date around. Simple pricing and quote. # of trucks + # of Guys = $/​hour. Simple easy to understand. We moved with Ray, Louis, Jeffvan & Demery. All of them were polite, caring and FAST. Like another Unilocaler mentioned literally running. They were picking up things on their own that would have taken my husband and I to lift… awkwardly.
I felt bad not helping but they were experts; wrapped, tapped and padded almost everything. Way beyond my expectations. If I have to move anytime in the future I will definitely use Square Cow and recommend it to anyone moving in the Spring area.

First time I have used movers and I will only use these guys for any future moves! Ken responded quickly and talked through all that I needed to know and answered all my questions! I was emailed helpful documents and an accurate quote.
On the day of my move, I received a call to provide me a time that they would arrive and they were 5 minutes early! They started off great… and just kept getting better! I walked through the property with Ken to point out the stuff to move while Chris prepared the place with padding on the door and running clothes. Then the fun began… They moved so quickly, even running to and from my house and the truck. My house was packed up in their truck in no time! And they even wrapped tables and added extra cushions to everything!
Now for the unloading… all I did was stand at the ramp of the truck to direct them which room to take the boxes! They were just as fast unloading as loading! My new roommate called to let me know that her movers had never showed up! Luckily I was their last job for the day and thankfully they didn’t mind adding on another apartment to move! My new roommate was thankful I had chosen Square Cow Moovers and so was I.
I highly recommend these Moovers ! Moving from 2 locations they finished in 4 hours! Amazing job! Thank you Ken and Chris!

Very friendly and respectful!
Chris and Ken were ridiculously helpful as they quoted me for my move, scheduled a tentative date and time, aaaaand as I canceled on them last minute because my husband had decided he could move everything by himself.
Very decent prices.
You are not charged a travel fee; however, the time starts when they leave their location. As a prospect, you are responsible for (up to) thirty minutes of driving on whatever hourly rate you are being charged.
