Wet ‘n’ Wild SplashTown

We bought season passes this year and went for the first time this past week. It is ok and we will continue to attend this summer, but with caution. The teenagers running wild and breaking the rules were the worst part. Very little attempt to stop this by staff. We saw several hanging on the bridge in the lazy river and the lifeguard bobbed her head to the music and watched them. There is also some upkeep that needs to be done on the stairs and slide areas. Tips: go early, bring your own food and leave it in a cooler in your car, food is mediocre and expensive. Rent a cabana if you can afford it.

My grandchildren love this place. I don’t like that they do not have a smoking area inside the park. Also the locker rental has changed to where you only get a standard locker when you pay for it for the season, it used to be the large locker for the past few years. I also think they have went to far with the «carnival» games that have been added this year. I am worried that they will start to go downhill with becoming too commercialized. I am not sure if I will continue to purchase season passes every year after this season.

Every time my family and I go here it is a nice time. They have plenty of water slides for the kids and there’s even an adult area including a bar. I dont, however, like the time spent in lines but I suppose that’s a given.

You will have a good rest there if the weather is good. We come there with children, and you know it is better to come with them before the park is opened.
It is a real paradise for children and for adults. But I do not like the service there, sometimes the workers are rude.
Usually it is a clean place but not always. The prices are not bad. I give only three stars because of the workers and the cleanness.

I love this waterpark. It is closer to my house than any other waterparks. I go here every summer and it is always an amazing experience. They are always trying to expand their rides and attractions. The only bad thing about it is that you need an ID to match the credit card. Although this might not be a big problem to most, I am a nanny and then have to use my own credit card instead of the one that my boss gave me. I will always continue to go back every year.

Splashtown was a really fun water park and I don’t mind going there again.
Some of the workers there are sorta of rude and when asking them a question they don’t even answer they just nod there head… honestly your job isn’t that hard, you guys are basically near water and at least you can do is have a little bit of spirit.
When me and my family were going into the lazy river, there was this workers saying its close now rudely and we were like, oh we thought it closed at 6 on a weekday and the guys was like «HELL NO». And first of all you don’t speak to an adults like that because we are you customers and if you want us to come again… Talk to us in a polite way, saying oh I’m sorry this place closed at 6 or something.

Was in the middle of the line and got kick out. Business hour was 10:00 — 7:00. Got kick out at 5:00, plus LONGGGGGGG wait of rides! Parking fee was $ 10, locker was $ 20, and entrance fee was $ 43 per each adult. No food and drink allowed!

Just finished up from a wonderful day here at Splashtown, I got on almost every ride that I wasn’t too terrified about. They have rides for all ages and food all over the place. I would also tell you to go to the Surf Shop or nearby Academy to get the waterproof case for your cellphone and money. This alone provided a lot more priceless moments. During the weekday, the lines were never crazy long which was a positive but as the day dies down, the lines of course get shorter. Anyways enjoy your time in the sun, Splashtown shall surely keep you cool and very happy with your family, friends and other loved ones.

The remodeling is great. With a lot more sitting area. Just went to slitterbaughn Galveston day before. Splash town is a lot better.
But why only 3 stars you ask?
With the remodeling. They removed shower restroom. What worst is there is no rinse station anywhere. This was a very bad decision.
It suck driving home even after changing cloth. We got itches and rash from the water been on so long without rinsing.

Don’t use their restrooms neither women nor mens are clean. They are absolutely disgusting, they stink so bad. Specially the ones near the kids pool area. Their commercials states to come see the new Wet n Wild Splashtown. I don’t think Wet n wild in Spring Tx has passed an inspection. Kids pool area, white waterslide there’s slime on the floor very slippery and dangerous, don’t let your kids go by themselves they can slip and fall from the top of the stairs. Kids area baby slide padding is peeling off. You can see white foam coming apart.

I will admit, I am surprised how pleasant my last couple visits @ Splashtown. Throughout my visit all staff members have been courteous, outgoing, informative and with a great sense of humor! Who doesn’t like to be around positive people? WE DO!
Honestly I hate to admit this but I was a bit worried due to my weight limit that I would be limited to some rides but I was so refreshed to know that I can ride ALL rides even the small toddlers ones since my daughter is only 3 and needs an adult with her. (So yes I did feel safe and I would understand why they would have a weight requirement for some).
The park seems very clean, again I am surprised by the cleanliness. Crew members are constantly walking throughout the park cleaning the park.
Guest services is definitely a highlight when we went. The ladies inside were going along with my sense of humor and had an awesome PMA both positive and professional which that is a huge plus since last thing I’d want is spend $ 400 worth of season passes and have this lady acting as if she’s annoyed by our presence… No thank you!
The only obstacle that prevented me from rating 5 stars would have to be the restrooms. Ok, I understand that tons of people walk through and use it all the time however restroom duty @ Splashtown should have its own staff just to have the restroom up-​keep constantly from the dirty toilet paper on the wet floor.
As far as the season passes, they are totally worth it! Since my kids are finally at the age where they can enjoy coming to the park, I will not religiously buy season passes every year, but next time as early as May to take advantage of the steep discounts and free promos!

If you weigh over 250 DONT GO HERE. I celebrated my daughters birthday &!spent almost $ 500 between a cabana rental, food & parking to have all these restrictions thrown in my friends face.
A simple solution to the weight limit on rides could go as follows:
A) let guests know AHEAD of time BEFORE booking about weight restrictions. We would have never came to this park if my friend couldn’t ride ANY tube rides. Literally.
Or
B) have a scale at the bottom of rides so people don’t waste an hour in line to do a walk of shame at the end of it instead of enjoying themselves
Staff was rude ! Our waitress was the only pleasant employee we encountered. I will never go back. Ever.

Can women wear shorts and tshirts over there bathing suit at splashtown?

We bought season passes at the beginning of summer. They are a great price and we got free parking for the season as well. The park is small but perfect for our family. My daughter is 8. She enjoys the park, plenty of things for her to do. I didn’t like the food. We pack a cooler with sandwiches and leave it in the car. When we get hungry we leave the park and go back to finish our day! We enjoy the park!

Went today (on a Monday). Still very criwded5. Needs more rides. I asked to see if they had a teacher discount. They said no. Sad when a teacher can get into SeaWorld for free. Maybe management needs to look into some sort of program for teacher discounts.

Came here yesterday on a Sunday and apparently there was a «Latin festival» that I wasn’t aware of, so they charged extra because of it and my cousin was 49.5″ which was 0.5″ more than the required height to get child price. Are you freaking kidding me!!!
We came here right when they opened so we could beat the afternoon crowd, but so did everyone else! Waited 1+ hour for one ride!!! It was like 95 degrees! The lines move so slow! Not even worth it.
Will not come back! This place is dirty!!! Over priced! And you can’t even bring you own food like schlitterbanh, and parking isn’t free, again, like schlitterbanh!!! What a waste of time this place was.

We bought the season pass this year. We are really excited about it and are looking forward to the newest attractions. We have always enjoyed our visit to the park in the past. This year we plan to spend the weekend that are sunny at splash town. We also got a free parking pass with our season pass. Which I am sure is going to come in very handy. I will update this review as soon as we experience the newest attractions.

I’ve seen some pretty negative reviews but my family and I love this place! It’s clean and the staff is friendly and the slides are fun and we all have a good time. The food is surprisingly good for an amusement park but the prices did go up a fair amount this year — inflation I guess. I recommend biting the bullet and renting a cabana whenever you can, it’s expensive but I’ve never regretted the expense. Food and drink is brought to you (4 meals are free), tubes are included in the price, 4 bottles of water, a locker, 4 towels and a sunblock rounds off the deal. And a good time is had by all…

I love the rides… My review is based on their «no rain checks» policy. I had spent 700 dollars on season passes for my fiancé, myself, my niece, nephew and parents. My niece is in from college for the summer and my nephew got A’s hos freshmen year of high school. I rented a cabana for all of us and it started pouring rain… This is when all the flooding started. Well we ended up leaving 2 hours into the downpour because the radar showed no let up… I wanted to reschedule a cabana for the next weekend, I didn’t want a refund… But because of the policy they wouldn’t do it. Ridiculous!!!
