Joy Craft and Design Store

What a beautiful store! The owner Joy was so pleasant. She gave me space to explore everything little thing in the store. Lots of cool things to see and I bought a beautiful necklace by Octavia Bloom. I just couldn’t resist because it was definitely one of a kind and I wanted to bring home something special from my trip in Zion. And not only was my experience awesome the day I shopped, it was also awesome when I decided to get a last minute gift for my mother-​in-​law who lives in California while calling from the Midwest. I thought it was a long shot, but I called and asked Joy if she could ship a necklace right away without me even seeing the necklace. I gave her a general idea of the colors I wanted on the necklace and her answers were all yesses! My mother-​in-​law got the necklace in time for her birthday and it was perfect. She loved it! This store has lots to see and a great store owner behind it! All good stuff!

We were visiting Zion while on a road trip around the country and truth be told I was desperately seeking coffee when I popped my head inside this shop. The lovely woman inside led me to the coffee shop which actually shares the same building. After fixing my coffee dilemma I returned to this store for a closer look. I am so impressed at the incredibly unique collection of handmade goods! I wanted everything. The prices were SO reasonable! Anyone who knows handmade (and the cost and work that goes into it!) would be in love with this shop! Gorgeous jewelry that I have NEVER seen before (which says a lot since we’ve been touring the U.S. for the last 6 weeks) beautiful watercolor prints and notecards of Zion done by a local, handmade head ties in awesome prints and patterns. I love that it wasn’t just a store full of «pretty things.» Pretty things are nice, but hard for me to justify. I desperately need a head tie scarf. My hair gets insane while I’m hiking and I can never make myself spend $ 10 on a generic made in china scrap of fabric. I’m happy to spend just a few more dollars to support the handmade movement and this awesome shop! I wish this shop existed at home ;(

This place is very small, and the prices vary since it is all handmade. I really enjoyed walking through it, as, though most was overpriced, it was nice I look at! The cashier was very friendly and laid back. She wrapped my purchase for me and was incredibly nice. Small, but worth the look!

I was delighted to find this gem of a store in Springdale Utah on a recent trip to Zion National Park. The store clerk said they have been open for a few months which is why I didn’t notice it last year when we visited. This store is very unique to Springdale as it offers local crafts, jewelry, décor, handmade items and much much more. I enjoyed perusing it so much I went back again before we left. They advertise to Upcycle, and reuse things creatively.
Many of the stores in Springdale are more for the tourist or outdoorsman but this store is absolutely perfect as it has items made from the local folks of Zion and items are very reasonably priced. I purchased two bracelets that were made out of buttons and I adore them already.
The store is eclectic, fun and hip ;) It is located across from the Sol Food Market and Flying Monkey Pizza (which is also a favorite of mine) I look forward to returning to this shop on our future trips and finding treasures to take home with me again and again. Check it out, you won’t be sorry.
When you purchase things they handle the transaction through an iPad and can email you the receipt. Love it!
