Ackerman Law Office was founded by James Ackerman in 1989. James is the son of J. Waldo Ackerman, who served as Sangamon County States Attorney, Judge, and Federal Judge. The Ackermans have been serving the central Illinois legal community since 1949. James is on the Board of Managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, who helps protect injury victims’ rights and the Tort Committee of the Illinois State Bar Association. He is the host of «Let’s Talk Law» a show on WMAY AM 970 every Saturday at 11:00 AM

James Ackerman is the founder of Ackerman Law Office. He began the business in 1989 after serving in the Sangamon County States Attorneys Office and having been employed at Noll Law Office. He hosts Lets Talk Law on WMAY 970 Saturdays at 11:00 AM. He has a record verdict, handled the largest trial in Federal Court in Springfield, and got the first class action certified in Sangamon County Circuit court and has collected millions for injury victims.
