History

Established in 1974.

We opened our doors over 40 years ago with a small inside sales crew, 1 tire road man and a couple bays in the shop for tire work. We have grown into one the largest tire dealers in the Northern VA. area! We built our business on servicing the local companies fleets of vehicles. We understand they depend on their vehicles to keep their business running and need to get their vehicles back on the road quickly. Over the years we have grown from primarily a commercial tire dealer to a shop that can service retail and wholesale customers as well. We have done this by increasing the size of our tire shop and adding tire road service trucks and delivery trucks that service the entire DC metro area. We have also opened a mechanical shop in a separate building. We specialize in four wheel alignments, suspension and steering repair, brake service and general auto repair on cars, light trucks and medium duty trucks.

I came to work for the company in 2008 to help maintain the reputation that my father, his partner and the many dedicated employees over the last 40 years have help build up! I have learned a lot about the tire business over the last several years and continue to grow in my development here at Alban Tire. I strive to help Alban Tire continue with the success it has experienced over the years and hope the second generation can pick up where the first generation is leaving off. The key to continued success is to keep finding dedicated employees that we have depended on for many years and to pride ourselves on always putting the customers needs first!

I would not recommend this place especially if you are a woman or don’t know about cars– avoid this place! I saw the woman next to me get scammed. I had the same issue with the same model car years ago so I was aware the problem it was not urgent or needed immediate attention. A man who waited on her told her different. My guess, they get commission of sales.
Also, Staff was cranky, rushed and the person behind the counter was not communicative. Fortunately I know a bit about cars so I was not scammed into buying a new tire. I had a flat I was told the tire could not be repaired. wrong. I went to my other mechanic and he fixed the tire no problem. Wasted hours of my work day time bc I would not settle, then I had to take car elsewhere

I’ve been here a few times to get car work done but my most recent visit was definitely noteworthy. It seems they have new management and it’s a wonderful change! The new manager Chuck Bonta really knows what he’s doing and was so helpful. His kindness takes the sting off repair bills. This auto shop has my future business.

Just had my wheel alignment done with them. I have a lifted Tacoma and had to get the specs dialed in. Most shops have no idea how to do a correct wheel alignment. These guys do. Thanks for the help and I’ll be back.

Needed a flat repaired. I just stopped by in the middle of the day. There were a couple places closer to my office, but saw the great reviews on Unilocal.
The service folks were friendly, knowledgable and seemed very honest. While I was waiting I over heard chatter with long time customers, one who had been coming here, seeing the same service guy, for at least 14 years. There’s a reason businesses have thy type of loyalty.
Service was quick. I checked in and had my tires rotated for free, no hassle.

Went outside in the middle of s bad snow storm and saw I had s completely flat tire. Was pretty stressed but decided to wait until morning to call around. Make a call to Alban around 9 00 and Keith picked up the phone. Not only was he super friendly and helpful, he was willing to do whatever it took to fix it. He told me just to have aaa tow my car and he would call me when it was done. Not only was my car ready in 3 hours (when he had to order tires!) but it was exactly half the price than another tire shop was trying to sell me at. I highly recommend them to anyone with tire needs!

I was looking for shops to help me replace a flat tire.
I pulled up Unilocal for nearby tires vendors in the area. I was going to go to NTB because I was familiar with the business and thought that sticking with what I know would be the easiest solution. But I saw a 5star ad for «Alban Tires» on NTB’s profile and thought, «Can’t beat that.»
I called in as soon as they opened to make sure they had my wheels in stock. Talked to Frank and he invited me in ASAP.
I got 2 new tires, a free rotation, perfect alignment. and was out in 1 hour.

— Staff is friendly, fair, and cooperative. No upsell.
— Whole office was staffed as soon as they opened. Everyone was ready to work! This boosted my confidence that they were ready to get the job done and have me in and out.
— Had TV, coffee, and WiFi while I waited

Standard shop, middle of the road customer service. Aside from standard mounting, I’ve bought a number of skid steer tires here in the past. Prices aren’t bad. I made the mistake of bringing at least 12 smaller tires in to be mounted on rims for various equipment restoration projects that I’ve had over the years. Scratched all of them up pretty bad during mounting, each and every single time.

Without a doubt, the best customer service and quality of work I have experienced in years! I stopped in to have a tire repaired… they got me in and out in no time flat. I had trouble finding a tire place with consistently good reviews in my area, but found Alban Tire in Springfield… had great reviews everywhere I looked. I had questions, but it was after hours, so I sent an e-mail. Was shocked to receive a reply on a Sunday night with detailed answers to my questions. When I did call, they ordered my tires, and called later the same day to say the tires had arrived and I could come in at my convenience to have them installed. When I brought in my vehicle, the Alban staff worked warranty issues with manufacturer of the tires that were currently on my van, which helped me get 35% off my new tires. Between the warranty discount and not performing unnecessary work (work my dealership added to their quote), I paid almost $ 400 less than I was quoted at my dealership for the exact same tires.
Alban Tire is the real deal. When I went there, my minivan was surrounded by work vehicles and a semi. In the waiting area, it was obvious that the business has a loyal customer base, and the employees are true tire professionals who know their jobs and long-term clients well. And to all you women out there who, like me, are hyper-sensitive about getting ripped off or treated condescendingly at auto places, you won’t have any worries at all at Alban Tire if my experience is any indication.
