Specialties
The owner’s specialty is mozzarella and ricotta. In their first 4 years they won first place for local competitions. AMF continued its success with gaining lots of publicity, more awards and more demand. Finally, they moved into a state of the art 56,000 square foot plant in Newark where they make the United States #! ranked and International #2 ranked mozzarella and ricotta which was competed in the most prestigious of competitions. AMF has won many other awards from affiliates, such as the ACS and the NASFT.
AMF and the owner is proud, yet humble, and I speak on his behalf in thanking all of you for supporting us. History
Established in 1996.
Approximately 80 years ago in Calabria, Italy the family of Antonio Mozzarella Factory began making ricotta and all types of mozzarella. In the early 90’s the current owner went to spend time with his family. While he was there he learned the trade and artisan way of making mozzarella. After spending several years he returned and continued his love affair with his new «art». He graduated and took very difficult courses at Columbia and Rutgers in micro-biology and others. After spending more time on a farm in the U.S. he broke ground on Antonio’s in 1996. Only 4 years later he expanded, and today he now has the best ricotta (ranked by Wisconsin Cheese-makers association) in the US. His mozzarella has won many awards from the ACS, NASFT & other’s.
His hard worked paid off and he is running a 56,000 sq ft facility where he sells to Wegman’s, Whole Foods, Shop Rite and various distributors throughout the eastern seaboard and Caribbean.

After spending over a decade as a senior manager at Wall St firms I decided I wanted a change. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’ve always loved business, being Italian and food; so this was a great fit! The owner is a terrific man who is truly admired by the entire firm. He began it at 19 and built it into a very successful regional manufacturing firm. He gives back to the community, such as little leauge sports (baseball), supports a youth cheerleading squad in Lyndhurst, we donate to Saint Jude’s and do much more; and as much as we can.
Other than being surrounded by some of the world’s best cheese all day, I couldn’t be happier in helping not only AMF, but YOU (our customers) in order to make us a better firm.
