I reached out to two local, reputable realtors to compare their marketing plans for selling my home. Both responded quickly; however the Bruce and Tanya team far outpaced their larger competitor. Initially, Bruce assured me he and his team would meet or beat any incentives his competition would offer… and he did on several points (that said, his package was very reasonable).
After the first two meetings, I worked with Bruce’s associate Chris Walters. I was fortunate. Chris provided me with a list of comparables and recommendations on what I might upgrade to make my home more marketable and the sale more profitable. He then set in motion the process for contractors to provide their estimates in a fashion whereby I could pick-​and-​choose upgrades that fit my budget (and, based on Chris’s recommendation, which would give me the biggest bang for my buck). Chris accompanied the contractors as they surveyed my property and ensured they provided timely estimates. He then took the time to go over each estimate with me.
Once I chose the contractors (i.e., interior, exterior, chimney, garage door, etc.), he scheduled their work and monitored their progress. It was a very stress-​free process for me. If a question or concern arose, I simply contacted Chris and he would address it both expeditiously and satisfactorily. I couldn’t have asked for more.
As the contractors were finishing up their work, Chris continued his by ensuring to update me on the latest comparables, posting the «for sale» signs, hosting an open house, sending me prospective buyer reviews /​comments, etc. Long story short — I received an above asking price offer within the first week and closed shortly thereafter.
If you’re looking for a no-​nonsense, knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated realtor look no further than Bruce and Tanya; if you’re lucky, you may get Chris!
P. S. Did I mention they assisted my daughter’s move from our house into a nearby apartment by providing a truck and personnel!

Kat Nissen and the Bruce and Tanya team are unmatchable! Bruce arranged for a stager to come to the house at no charge to us, but it was really his knowledgable advice that made our house truly color brochure ready. Small details he noted and insisted were necessary made a huge difference and, no doubt, helped to bring top dollar for our home when we sold. What is more, the house was under contract in about a week for more than we had hoped or thought possible given what was a slow market at the time. On the buying side, we were hesitant to go within a buter’s agent who was not one of «the agents» in the neighborhood we were targeting. Of course, when you are as amazing as Kat, you do not need to restrict your talents to one neighborhood! She proved to be the agent who could win us a house in a market that was bringing in multiple offers before open houses above and beyond list prices. She knew how to navigate the market, work with the selling agents, and constantly communicate with us about what was going on. Because of Kat, we won the house we wanted despite an offer that was originally better. We will undoubtedly call the Bruce and Tanya team for future real estate needs — and we will request Kat!

This review is for Sunny Hammerly of Bruce/​Tanya remax. Sunny and I are in the midst of our 4^th property transaction and has been wonderful over the 6 years we’ve done business together. She does not do a high pressure approach just to get a commission check fast, she worked as hard on day 170 as she did on day 1 selling my home and when buying she will not let you get yourself into a bad deal. Definitely recommend her!

We used an agent from Bruce and Tanya to look for homes to buy. The initial interview went well, so we hired her. Further attempts to contact and get a response from the agent proved too frustrating, and we had to continually ask the same questions to get a response. We found many homes ourselves, and contacted sellers agents to get the information we couldn’t get from our buyers agent. We ended up going with another agent to buy our home once the contract ran out.
We too, talked with Jessica at an open house. We would have hired her, but she indicated she was more of a seller’s agent. Jessica seemed to know all the details about the home she was listing.

I’ve been working with Jessica McCain from Bruce and Tayna and associates for a number of years and to hear anything negative about them really doesn’t reflect the true nature of their dedication to their customers. Jessica worked with me for over a year and a half to find me a home in a difficult housing market. She never gave up even though I was really precise about what I wanted in a house. I can’t speak for the rest of her team but I can tell you she is dedicated to her craft and will go above and beyond to make sure you find a house that meets your needs. My wife and I were not really looking for a house. We would go to an open house here and there and never really see anything that caught our eye. Finally we found «our» house and needed some help. I contacted Jessica McCain from Bruce and Tanya and Associates. My wife and I met Jessica at an open house several weeks before and really had a good feeling about her. The feeling proved to be correct as Jessica’s warm personality and knowledge made the purchasing process very stress free. She was very attentive to all our questions throughout many stages and we felt that she had our best interest in mind. She was so pleasant to work I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a house.

This firm provided negligent service to me as a buyer and terrible disservice to the seller for a transaction in Arlington. The realtors didn’t execute on ANY of the agreements that were made as part of the contract. On the day of inspection the state of the house was as it was during the initial viewing. Not surprising given that our agent was not getting any response from Bruce and Tanya despite multiple attempts to contact them. They were disorganized, rude during the transaction to our agent, unprofessional, untimely, poorly coordinated, didn’t follow through on the promises made during closing resulting in a significant delay of the escrow payment to the seller. Not only I recommend against using them, if I see their name on any property in Arlington for sale I would talk to the seller directly to find another firm. If you’re dealing with them — consider yourself warned and be prepared for a disappointment.
