Chef Matt also provides personal chef services! Once a week you select from a menu of items that he sends to you, and you choose which items you’d like to dine on that week. He then makes them and delivers them to your door! It’s a great way to get restaurant quality meals in the comfort of your own home when you’re just too busy to do it yourself, and you don’t have the time to go out every night.

History

Established in 2010.

Chef Matt Finarelli actually started out on a very different career path. As the web master for World Wildlife Fund, he worked for 8 years trying to protect the environment — a cause he still holds near and dear as a chef. But the passion of being a chef always called to him, and it wasn’t until he became a chef instructor on the side that he knew he had to go to culinary school and begin his career anew as a chef.

And that’s what he did!

Working his way up through local restaurants, he found himself quickly at the top of the game, but found that it was the teaching of cooking that brought him the most joy. So he changed careers again, and struck out on his own as an independent culinary instructor — and that’s where he is today!

Chef Matt has taught in many of the local culinary schools, and can bring the experience, know-​how and entertainment of the best cooking schools and shows to your house for your next great dinner party!

Chef Matt’s career began at the World Wildlife Fund, but his passion for cooking soon took him to culinary school (where he graduated at the top of his class) and on to the world of kitchens, then to teaching cooking.

His style is based on having fun in the kitchen. Cooking is a full-​contact sport, and you learn by doing. He is patient, fun and knowledgeable — all the characteristics you want in someone showing you how to handle knives and fire simultaneously…

Chef Matt wrote and self-​published his first cookbook, «Beyond the Red Sauce: Classic Italian Cooking Without Tomatoes» in 2011. He has sold almost 1,000 copies, and is working on two other book ideas as we speak!
