Specialties
Conservatory of the Ozarks offers individualized fine arts instruction from degreed and experienced teachers. Every instructor at the Conservatory of the Ozarks has completed at least an accredited bachelor’s degree in his or her field. Students of all ages and all levels of experience (including no experience) are welcome to take Music, Art, & Drama lessons at the Conservatory of the Ozarks.
The Conservatory also has a great internship and apprenticeship program, several fantastic music ensembles, and the ability to help students create and record their own music.
Conservatory of the Ozarks hosts several music competitions, workshops, talent shows, community outreach events, and studio recitals each year. Both students and teachers from the Conservatory are frequent performers in local concerts, recitals, competitions, and auditions and their accomplishments are regularly featured in local newspapers.
History
Established in 2008.
In 2006 Heather Leverich graduated from Maranatha Baptist Bible College with a B.S. in music and the ambition to earn a living by through teaching private music lessons in her own studio. Determined to disprove the stereotype that piano teachers are little old ladies casually teaching a few weekly music lessons from their living rooms, Heather strove for excellence and professionalism from the very beginning of her career as a music instructor. Despite having no training or experience in business, Heather founded the Conservatory of the Ozarks in Anderson, Missouri 2008 and began working hard to build a new clientele.
A tight advertising budget lead to creative publicity efforts! Heather called all the private and public schools in three counties offering free music education concerts in exchange for a chance to introduce her music studio to the school children. She gave free concerts in nursing homes, senior citizen centers, home school groups, and churches, and volunteered to judg

Manager
Heather Leverich teaches private voice and piano lessons at the Conservatory of the Ozarks in Springfield and Anderson. Innovative teaching techniques characterize Heather’s teaching style. Viewing each student as unique, Heather helps her students define and reach their goals for musical growth. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Voice from Maranatha Baptist Bible College and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree from Concordia University in Choral Conducting and Master’s Degree at Missouri State University in Vocal Pedagogy. She has also spent two years studying the Alexander Technique and is experienced as a performer, a Church Music Director, and a Master Class Clinician. In addition to her teaching studio, Miss Leverich is the Conservatory’s Director.
