We lived in one of their apartments for 6 years and when we moved out they gave us a huge bogus bill. The apartment was in bad shape when we moved in. For the last two years they raised the rent and said it was because of taxes. I do not recommend going with them! They also said we did things to the apartment that are not true.

I would put no stars if I could. But since I have to put a star they get a measly and terrible 1 star. We have never felt so disrespected and dismissed by a business. They are NOT friendly, they are NOT professional and they will make you feel like a low life if you get denied. They won’t even call you back to tell you. And then when you call them back and they tell you, that in fact you are denied they say they can’t tell you the reason. Makes NO sense! And the ‘manager’ doesn’t care doesn’t even have the courtesy to say good luck on your search. She will just hang up. Wont even say have a good day bye. WORST property management experience EVER! We highly recommend you steer clear and as far away from emerald property Managment as you possibly can. There properties are also absolutely filthy and not worth the stress they put you through ! Go anywhere but EPM. You will be glad you did!

The receptionist has the worst customer service I’ve ever delt with. She’s rude and unfriendly she never let’s you speak and she hangs up the phone and puts you on hold without notice. I’ve never delt with a management company as horrible as emerald. Never rent from these ppl.

EPM is quite possibly the worst rental company I have ever encountered. They are unprofessional and rude regularly. They do not stick to their lease agreements and do not contact tenants when workers are coming by. They are constantly«out of the office» and«at lunch» all day long and it is nearly impossible to get ahold of them. A true example of how non-customer oriented they are is the fact that the 8 parking spots directly in front of the entrance are«employee parking only» Maybe they should park a little farther away, get some more exercise and be a little happier. I will avidly steer people away from emerald property management in the future.

I’ve been unfortunate enough to have Emerald manage the property next door to my home. Each day I’m greeted by the site of the ramshackle buildings, broken windows, and plastic flapping in the breeze covering a damaged roof. Then I get to enjoy the noise of their tenant playing drums(heavy metal) each and every day. I pick my battles and have tried to get the noise disturbance problem taken care of over the past few years. When I call, I get a friendly response telling me there is a specific person I need to talk to for the issue, who by coincidence has never once been in their office when I’ve called. I leave messages but rarely get a return call. They prefer written complaints, and request it to be emailed, but sometimes their email spam filters are set up to not accept any email from gmail and other major email hosts. Once I finally manage to get a complaint submitted, I generally receive no response, but sometimes receive either a friendly response that sounds like they are concerned about the issue, and sometimes a very curt response. Either way, nothing is ever done about the noise problem and the noise disturbance continues day after day, year after year. It seems my only hope for peace and quiet will be if the rental eventually falls down from disrepair, forcing the tenant to move out.

I will never rent from Emerald Property Management again. Not only did I have huge trouble renting from them a few years back, but I have two sets of friends who each rented from Emerald recently. They both had mold problems that were ignored by EPM for almost a month, until they were finally fixed. Their staff at their headquarters is extremely rude and dismissive. Stay away from this company!
