History

Established in 1983.

Steve Bean started a shoe store adjacent to the convenience store at National and Grand. On February 1, 1983, Steve moved his shoe store into the newly constructed Bear Park Mall and started The Greek Corner. The Greek Corner began as a retail store carrying a full line of Greek apparel and merchandise. As the business expanded, Steve started a screen printing operation in his basement which became a major part of the business. The Greek Corner became, and is still, one of Springfield’s better known brands. Steve sold the business to Karla Lampe in 2005. She changed the name to Greek Corner Graphics.

On January 1, 2009, Jason Parke purchased Greek Corner Graphics and restored the name, The Greek Corner. After 26 years in the same location, the difficult decision was made to move. The new location featured easy access for shipping, receiving, room for growth, and allowed customers to park at the front door.
