Great service that came with a 1 year guarantee (though I’m sure it won’t be needed). I called on Monday evening and was able to schedule an appointment for a time that was convenient for me for the very next day! Nathan is professional, courteous, and so knowledgeable that he gave me updates on exactly what I planned to ask about, but before I even asked. Not only did he fix the problem, he created a long-​term solution too — which is why 5 stars are very much deserved.

I have had a basement drain issue for some time. I have been through countless plumbers and self service snaking. All of them told me I needed to replace the drain or keep snaking. Nathan came out and checked the drain explaining what the problem really was. His crew came out and fixed the issues that no one else seemed to be able to do. He gave me a warranty that was worthwhile and made me feel confident that the work they performed would last more than a year. I can’t say enough good things about him and the people that work for him.

I cant say enough good things about them. Nathan came by and fixed some work that another plumber had done and informed us that our pump may need to be replaced as well but gave us the option to let it go for now and we did. Less than a month later guess what? He was right. If he recommends something now I just take his word for it he know what he’s doing. They have also done a hot water heater for me as well. great service at a fair rice which is hard to com by in this area.

I called L&G for a guy to come and give me an estimate on a water manifold replacement. The closest date Nathan could schedule me was 10am-​12pm 5 days out but I made the appointment anyway. On the day of my appointment, Nathan called me @ 1250pm to tell me he couldn’t call me earlier because he was in a govt building working and was unable to use his phone. Then proceeds to tell me he can arrive a hour later. That time frame did not work for me as I had other things planned. So we rescheduled for the next business day at 10am. It is 1100am on the next business day and Nathan tells me that he has been trying to reach me. I was surprised to hear this since I didn’t see missed phone calls or a voice mail from Nathan. Nathan goes on to say «since we had a hard time reaching you and have been talking to someone when we called your phone number. We ARE NOT going to come out for the estimate.» Needless to say, I was not to happy to hear this jargon. After working a 10 hour night shift then waiting three hours for a guy that didn’t show up for a serviced I scheduled. Only to hear that «we tried to reach you». I think it is really funny you managed to reach me when you were «on your way» but couldn’t’ dial the same number to say only God knows what, after an appointment was already made. L&G totally disregarded me, my time and the service I requested. To sum up this review: L&G IS A WASTE OF TIME. On a good note, I am thankful this business transaction did not occur. I can only image the shenanigans that would have played out if I considered to go any further.

I’m writing to echo the good reviews of other Unilocalers. Nathan was quick, responsive, knowledgeable, and fixed a leaking pipe in less than an hour. He found the source of the problem (excess pressure in the pipes) and went the extra mile and winterized our rental property for us. He’s going to be our first call if and when we need a plumber again.

So I read the reviews and called Nathan. He told me he would be at my place between noon and 2P. At 1:50P he called to say he wouldn’t be there before 5P. When I explained that I worked out of my home, he got nasty but said he would come. Then 20 minutes later he called back to say he wouldn’t come. I have never had a service man treat me so badly in the 45 years I have owned homes. And I should not have to tell a service man what I do for a living in order for them to come when they say they will.

Terrific company and very reliable! Nathan was great at explaining the problem with a pipe in my home. He explained all of the options and shared the beneifts and disadvantages of all options. He even had his wife drop off a part for free that I am having a different company install becuase he is not able to. He showed up on time and was easy to communicate with. I would highly reccomend him and L& G plumbing!

For many years my basement with the sump pump kept getting wet but the sump pump was actually doing it’s job. The wet area was across the room on the OTHER side from the pump.
After replacing the 2 windows in the subgrade well by the carport, I thought my problem was solved. Along comes not one … but TWO heavy downpours within a few days of each other and there was more water than ever coming in from ‘somewhere’ yet to be found.
I set an appointment with L&G, Nathan came out and went through the whole process of what they intended on doing to solve the problem, the cost and the approximate length of time. I signed the contract and within a few days they began working.
As my situation was more complex that just a backed up drain, I had to have the basement waterproofed and mold/​mildew removed. I rented a but storage pod and they even helped move heavy items for me.
Turns out the drain from one of the two window wells was clogged. They jackhammered the perimeter inside the basement approx 1 foot wide and several inches deep to accommodate a new french drain to carry the water to the sump pump and out of the house. Laid new pipes, drilled new weep holes and installed elbow pipes at the end of each cinderblock where water flows down upon entry, which was about every 6 inches and filled in with concrete. For the window wells, they dug them both out, installed new drain pipes that also flowed directly into the french drain and carries any water out via the sump pump.
After that they waterproofed the walls not only with the black rubber/​tar substance, but a thick, rubber mesh which covered up the rubber/​tar to lead any water down to the drain area. L&G also provided and installed a new sump pump with a marine battery back up.
I give L&G five stars due to being trustworthy, providing great communication all the way through, their professional work, and reasonable price. All this was done while I was working upstairs in my home office with minimal disruption save the jackhammering.
I would most definitely recommend them for waterproofing and, should the opportunity arise, any other plumbing situations that may arise.

So…4^th of July, doing laundry, waiting to have everyone over… and water is ALL OVER the basement, backed up through the basement toilet. Just horrifying. This has happened before, ten years ago? And we had my plumber, and it never drained great.
My husband is a good plumber. We yanked the toilet, snaked the line… nothing.
Called Nathan, Turns out our 62 year old house has clogged arteries. I’m shocked… Deeply, deeply shocked (sarcasm). I was anticipating an explanation of why I’d have to rip up my yard. Instead, my pipes got flushed (some kind of turbo jet!), and we could SEE THE DIFFERENCE (or, the DH did) with a camera.
I’ll have him back in 8 years to do it again. Happily.

We called and they showed up the same day on a Friday before a major holiday weekend! Also gave great advice for prevention and maintenance. The owner is friendly and courteous.

I had a pressure reducing valve fail in my house. Thought I could fix it myself, realized about mid day when we had no water and a leaky pipe that I couldn’t. They were able to make it out that evening, without any ridiculous same day fee or anything like that. While the plumber did run a bit late, they kept me updated to his status.
He made it out that day as promised, didn’t laugh at my attempt to fix it, and even offered me pointers as he worked for the next time I tried to take on a plumbing job. Even saved me significant money by using the parts I had already purchased. The price ended up being below what I was quoted as the starting price from several other companies.
In summary, highly recommended, a true professional. Will definitely be my go to plumber from here on out. Thanks for fixing my attempt to fix it!

They have been to my house twice for a clog and a sink repair — and I live in Maryland! Not only do they value their clients all over the DMV, but they also take the time to educate you about what’s good and bad for your plumbing.
With their quick service and great customer service, I highly recommend them to anyone!

They have pipe cameras that they don’t charge you to use. This usually saves you a lot of money because most problems have to be guestimated which adds to the cost of labor in finding out what’s wrong. The camera makes L&G stand out. They are great with customers too and really care about doing a good job. I would recommend L&G to anybody I know having a problem with their pipes!

We had a drain that had been clogged for forever and a day, which we tried unsucessfully to repair ourselves, even running a snake 12-​feet down to no avail. Our first call was to a plumber who had helped us in the past with some underground work, and they referred us to L&G Drain Cleaning Plumbing Repair.
We called them on a Friday afternoon and got a Saturday appointment. They arrived with three guys, explained in plain detail what they were going to do, and did it at the estimated price. They used a snake too, but the difference was with their expertise and commercial-​grade equipment including a motorized snake. All three guys were neat, professional and happy to explain what they were doing and how they knew what needed to be done.
As an added bonus, they snaked another sink drain and checked for leaks at no extra charge. While nobody wants to have to call a plumber, I feel that our money was well spent and I wouldn’t hestiate to use L&G again or recommend them to friends.
