Dr. Schwartz is a licensed psychologist with many years of diverse training and experience. His goal is to help individuals, couples, and families to improve the quality of their lives. Dr. Schwartz believes strongly that everyone possesses a unique set of personal strengths and characteristics that should be used to help guide the therapeutic process. He tailors the process of therapy around the uniqueness of each person whom he sees.
History
Established in 1994.
Dr. Schwartz has been a licensed psychologist in the State of New Jersey for over 15 years. A native New Yorker, he graduated from the Bronx High School of Science and went on to do his undergraduate studies at New York University. He received his Master’s Degree in Clinical Health Psychology from Connecticut College in 1988, receiving the award for Outstanding Graduate Student. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Delaware in 1993, during which time he gained extensive experience in both teaching and clinical research. He received specialized training in medical and rehabilitation psychology through his internship at Temple University Hospital, and then postdoctoral training at the Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation in southern New Jersey. Dr. Schwartz remained at the Bacharach Institute for seven years, serving as Associate Director of Psychology and Postdoctoral Training Coordinator.
