Good food! Nice atmosphere. Really one of the best burgers you can have. Been to Milford location as well!

They used to serve a big pickle with your meal. I’ve been there twice recently and it’s gone. The reason this is important is because their burgers are quite average. The meat is usually flavorless and very dry. I tried the Cuban burger today, which is made with ground pork and it was very dry. Thank God for the mustard, otherwise I might’ve choked. Also, my side of sweet potato fries were cold. The meat should be the star, and it’s not here. The menu is inventive, but it doesn’t come through. The pickle was a genuine plus — now gone.

I have been looking forward to come to this place and my first time there was horrible. The hostess was nice when she sat us down. It took forever for the waitress(VickToria) to come take our order for drinks and she wasn’t really welcoming. We didnt get any utensils or napkins we had to take it off another table because our waitress was no where to be found. Then our food was horrible. I got the new Englander, the burger was dry and my sister had a steak she asked to be nedium well, which came out bloody as hell. Thankfully my fiancé liked his cuban burger. The waitress was so non chalant like she could care less it made it even more annoying. We had to wait even more time to get new steak. My fiancé ended up calling for manager who ended up taking the steak off our receipt and giving a gift card but honestly I’m not going back there. I feel like even if my food was horrible if i got good service i wouldn’t mind.

Last night my friends and I came to plan b for a quick bite to eat after work, we sat in the lounge area around 10 pm. Our server was terrible(Jessica) she was rude when she came to the table and very short with us, she never gave us refills on our drinks and my friend got soup and she decided to tell us when all of our food came that they were out of that Soup, we then had to wait for my friend to get an order of mac & cheese which took another 15 minutes. I wanted a beer but she never came over again after bringing the food. She didn’t even tell us her name when she greeted us I had to get it from the Receipt. I come to Plan B often and always enjoy the food this was probably my worst experience there. I will definitely return in the future just hope to get better service next time.

Plan B’s been around for a while, but the last time we stopped in they’d run out of veggie burgers so we’d not returned. We finally made it back last weekend, checked if they had veggie burgers before we waited in the predictable 40 min wait at all trendy burger places in the Springfield Longmeadow area. The ambience is industrial chic, with really cool light fixtures, suitable for a Friday night. I would definitely check on the wait time if you’re planning a special event. Once seated though, the wait times for food and drinks was minimal. The drinks are better than other places around, I had a cucumber gimlet, and Hubby had a couple of on-tap beers. Mine was refreshing and he enjoyed his drinks as well. We both ended up getting the Baja burger with veggie patty. I thought it was tasty, while he thought it was one of the best around! Prices seemed reasonable and service was friendly. So, all in all a good experience, we’ll be back to try some more.

Recently visited with coworkers and the staff was very accomodating to our request of separate checks and the fact that our group kept getting larger. Our server was dynamite and so was the food and drinks. Every item was plated thoughtfully. The only small negative… no place to keep the coats. We had a great experience.

Horrible! Visiting family and had heard this place was good — especially for larger groups. Definitely not the case! After waiting for 30 minutes we were finally seated. Our waiter was horrible not to mention he forgot to put my order in, so everyone else’s food came but mine. When it did arrive it was cold and horrible. Not worth it! Never again!

The burgers here are so fresh and taste amazing. The beer list is always good. If you like burgers, bourbon and beer make sure to stop here.

It’s Trendy! It’s hip! They have things that don’t normally belong in a burger place! They have booze! It’s really a nice looking and feeling place. I liked the light fixtures a lot. But… We’re not here to talk about the light fixtures. The staff was good. Pleasant, and fast. Good with refills. We got the fried cheese curds to start. These were so good. Smaller curds battered and fried. Served in a fry container. Very filling. We couldn’t finish them if we wanted to be able to eat our burgers! I had the Veggie Burger, switched out the cheese for cheddar.(No problems or upcharge) had the garlic parm fries. Tasty, but kind of oversalty. Going to try the plain fries next time I think. The burger was decent, but not my favorite veggie burger style. I might play with sauces next time. My lunch date had the bacon cheese. It looked really good. She also got the green bean fries which were interesting… Like… Pan fried and oily. Salted. Good. She said they used to be better. Lunch for two, with iced teas, an appetizer and two burgers was in the $ 40 range. But, very filling.

Long time plan b fan, started going to Simsbury, now go to Springfield mainly because it’s closer(also in part because of staff decline in Simsbury). Good things: Love their menu, drink selection is great. Atmosphere is awesome for a low-key date night, or an easy lunch. New items added keep things from getting stagnant. Very good selection of non-red meat options for those that avoid it. Personal favorites include blue chips and the three shroom burger. As an added bonus, plan b has a surprising number of great desserts. Bad things: Spotty service can be a problem as well as accuracy of your order. It’s about a 50⁄50 chance that your burger will not come out the temp you’ve ordered. As a person who prefers their burger extra rare, I understand when it comes out more mid-rare than rare. What I don’t understand is how it comes out well done when extra rare was ordered? Add’l note: Since plan b began really expanding, it does seem as though the quality of their beef has gone down. Again, as a rare burger eater maybe that’s why it’s noticeable, but it seems the amount of fat has gone up in their blend while amount of actual meat has declined. Same goes for portion sizes on the apps, etc.

We were over at Samuels and right around 10pm the music starts pounding and the club scene arrives. We walked over to Plan B expecting it to be a similar level of busy but a little less bro-y. Oddly, the place was weirdly empty, but I’m not complaining. This was about 11pm on a Saturday. Anyhow, the beer menu is pretty good and the desserts were not to shabby either. Comfy seating, friendly service and you can hear yourself think.

We sat at the bar because we didn’t want to wait for a table. Our bartender Sam was awesome as she served us up drinks and entertained us. I had her order my meal for me(as I like to do at new restaurants. She ordered me a bacon cheeseburger with egg on top. It was fabulous! I loved it, as well as the fries. I definitely left full. I forgot to take pictures though. Lol. I would love to go back again and again to try the rest of their menu!

After a pretty long drive to the Basketball Hall of Fame, we arrived at lunch time. Fortunately, Plan B is located right next door, and became Plan A for lunch. Think of an upscale appointed TGI Fridays as far as décor. Cool-ish, with studded black leather and tasteful alternative music playing. Comfortable and fun. The burgers are great. Top shelf, tasty seasoned beef. Cooked to order and expertly(just a little pink inside), great crispy, but not greasy onion rings, salty parmesan and salt fries. Good stuff. Presentation was also creative and fun(see pic). Our waitress Amanda was awesome, patient, attentive, helpful and friendly. No rush, but very on top of our needs without being intrusive. Prices are also very reasonable for good quality food at a prime tourist location like this.

After a long day of traveling and many days of gorging on seafood, when we finally landing in Springfield, MA the siblings relied on me and my handy Unilocal app to find something close to the hotel that served burgers. My requirement was just some good beer. In Plan B we found all of the above! My brother couldn’t decide on what type of meat so I suggested the burger flight, a trio of sliders each with different meats and various accoutrements. I chose the Italian Job with onion rings and my sister just ordered the Tavern Classic with fries. Both siblings received their orders at the same time but, mine was delayed as it was prepared incorrectly. No matter, it came out pretty quickly afterwards. Everything was tasty and the service was good.

Three years ago I had my «going away» dinner here for before I left the area, and since I was back around for a few days I decided to drop by and grab some food with a friend. It did not disappoint. The first great thing about this place is the tap selection. I was lucky enough to be there on a takeover night where they give a brewery or two free run of their taps but in general, their selection looked to be excellent. I decided to try a different kind of burger and go with The Italian Job, a chicken burger that is almost like a chicken parm sandwich in the form of a burger and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. The waitstaff was great, engaging, and seemed to generally enjoy their jobs. If you’re looking for a fun experience with good food, this is a great place to stop.

The burgers here can’t be beat!!! The meat is perfection. I used to live their green bean fries but they’ve come down in quality lately. Their Cobb salad is great too. Every time I go the service is professional and prompt. Their drink menu is extensive. I always get the bacon cheeseburger.

Very reasonably priced with an assortment of burgers, beers, and drinks. Our group went mostly with burgers with the«New Englander» being a favorite. I(foolishly) ordered the buffalo chicken and while it was good, it was not nearly as spicy as the«insane» hot sauce had suggested. The nachos and wings were also very good, and the pulled pork mac n cheese is a large dish worth getting a sharing with a group. While the inside is a bit bland, they do have an outside patio. This is definitely a spot worth checking out after going to the nearby Basketball Hall of Fame or swinging by for happy hour.

Located right next to the Basketball Hall of Fame, this place is a great option for getting some quality food after you see the museum and you won’t even have to get into your car to get there. My friends and I ordered burgers and beers and sat outside on a nice summer afternoon for lunch. I had a «Cuban» burger that was pretty tasty, and I added the pretzel bun to the order, too. I opted for the vegetables over the fries for my side and I enjoyed them. The beer selection was pretty solid. I loved that they had Green Flash from San Diego there. I recommend eating here, especially if you have worked up some hunger after going through the Hoop Hall.

As I’m going into ob/gyn, I have a lot of thoughts abt giving your resto the same moniker as the morning after pill… and also, from a marketing perspective it’s silly — like, yes, come here after getting shut out of the nearby Olive Garden and we’ll gladly transform all of your endless salad/breadstick desires into something that fits btwn two buns(white, wheat, gluten-free, pretzel, or… lettuce are their choices, in case you were curious) — but clearly, given that when we rolled up around 830p on a Friday night and was told it would be a 30m wait, there are a fair number of Springfield’s finest for whom Plan B Burger Bar is solidly plan A(sooooo clever, I know). Scene — b/c I’m a bitch, I’ll call it Western Mass-chic — dimly lit bar, exposed rough wood, those obligatory old school light bulbs that convey«style» — full of hot young things on group dates(appropriate attire ranging from faux Herve Leger bandaid dresses + requisite facial piercings + stripper heels to hoodies and Old Navy’s hottest female carpenter-esque denim), a few families with teens, and couples getting their date on — in short, it was legitimately hopping in a way for which I was unprepared. As it was appx 4h s/p my normal dinner time and I was hangry, we elected to skip apps, many of which sounded TGIFriday’s-tastic(baked jalapeño poppers, wings, buffalo shrimp, lobster hush puppies) and dive head first into din — M went for a burger I don’t remember. It looked meaty and was apparently satisfying — and like a good Jew, K hit the«squealer» — a half pork/half beef treat topped w bacon, pickles, cheese, etc — surrounding tables also had the«3 shrooms» burger(sauteed muschrooms, portobello spread + truffle mayo) and the Baja burger(avo, jalapenos, tomato, cheese, chipotle spread), all of which looked as though it was enjoyed. I should note that I actually respect that if you’re doing a burger, they have 20ish options, including veggie and tuna burgers — and of the beef choices, it’s all hormone/abx-free meat — and many of the burger toppings sound dec(fried egg, avo, kalamata olives) — but they lose major points for only offering burgers«some pink» or «no pink» — I mean, it’s been hella long since I’ve eaten one, but I’m like 99% sure that it’s only appropriate to order a burger rare, M/R, med, well-done, etc — overly dumbing it down is kind of a buzz kill. Regardless. Oh, our sides of steak fries and tater tots were cripsy and blisteringly hot, though I missed salt on those bad boys the way that Sting’s desert misses the rain. Desperately. Plenty of entrée salads if you’re watching your weight for Spring Break — and my tuna entrée, while bland, was only mildly offensive, and the greens on which it came made up for some serious vitamin deficits I’ve been rocking since starting my medicine rotation. Other non-burger mains include steak frites, mac & cheese, meatloaf, and some other chicken stuff I don’t remember. Din for 3 w drinks was $ 60ish — burgers are $ 13−16ish, I think entrée salads are around $ 13 and starters are around $ 10. If I wasn’t living here, I wouldn’t make a trip, and although it’s no Shoney’s, for a chain resto it’s okay.
