Rick and Karen Hughlett founded Rick’s Automotive in 1980 with the determination to bridge the gap between dealerships and chain stores with an honest and competent auto repair facility dedicated to quality and affordability. The shop has grown to be one of the most trusted businesses in Springfield.

Business Owner

Rick has grown his humble auto shop into one of the best known local businesses in Springfield. He is also well known for his efforts to bring the American Automobile Association certification to Springfield repair shops.

Rick serves the community and has received multiple awards through the years for his donation of time including the Southeast Rotary Volunteer of the Year for 2012 and The Kitchen’s Excellence Award. He has been married to his wife for 39 years and has two daughters and multiple grandchildren.
