This place is horrible I ate a steak lomo saltaldo and I had the runs the following day. My ass hurt from so much rubbing of the toilet paper. I will never return to this hole in the wall and these bastards should be ashamed of themselves. Be patient and drive up the street to Mi Rico Peru.

WOOTWOOT! Rivera’s Restaurant is a small little Latin restaurant offering appetizers(such as pupusas, yuca fritas, taquitos, ceviches, etc.), soups, tacos, pollo a la brasa, fajitas, fish/chicken/seafood dishes, and daily lunch specials. I tried their #38, which was the Lomo Saltado de Carne(you can also opt for chicken instead), that came with a side of yummy fluffy rice and beans. This was an extremely generously-sized plate, with super flavorful sauteed beef strips with red onion slices and sliced tomatoes — this dish was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The beef was juicy, and the sauteed onions were just lovely! You also receive two bottles of green and the aji sauce. The aji sauce, while more mustard-y, was a perfect pairing for the lomo saltado dish! We also tried a Pupusa de Queso, a cheese pupusa — this was a bit forgettable, as there wasn’t much cheese within, and the exterior wasn’t as crispy as I usually like it to be. The hubs and I also tried their horchata, which was had the perfect creaminess, not-too-grainy, with a nice little kick of cinnamon — very refreshing! One thing I thought was hilarious was that the restaurant had 2 TVs, one playing K-dramas, dubbed in Spanish — it was super entertaining! AHAHA Service was super sweet and friendly — Ms. Mirna and Ms. Damaris were both wonderful! I’ll definitely be back for their lomo saltado as well as to try out their pollo a la brasa! :D +#38 Lomo Saltado de Carne: D +mustard-y aji sauce! +Horchata! :D +ask for Ms. Mirna and Ms. Damaris: D +friendly staff! :D +dubbed K-drama(!!!)

No frills place serving $ 7.95 lomo saltado for lunch. It’s made with love.

Highly recommend this place to anyone. I come here at least once a week with my coworkers for their lomo. The consistency of the food is the same every time I come back here. The service provided by the owners are nothing short of excellent. They are always welcoming and doing their best to provide for the customers. For someone who appreciates good customer service, its hard to beat the Riveras

What a pleasant surprise. The food was fairly simple, but muy delicioso! I ordered the #5 lunch special. I thought it was odd to have fries with south of the border dishes, but man did they soak up the favors! The beef was tender and tasty. My only two complaints, and they’re quite minor, are I would’ve enjoyed a little more cilantro and I don’t prefer sodas by the can. Outside of that it was fast, friendly and delicious!

Let me be clear and honest. This may not seem true but it is. I was taken here by a friend who traveled to Peru monthly for business. He became accustomed to their food. He has taken me here and I must say, it is my favorite food in the world. It ties with Larry’s Philadelphia Cheesesteaks which I eat EVERYTIME I go to Philly, even before I see my mother! My girlfriend told me I would eventually get tired of eating here. It have been six months and if anything, I am eating more. I take friends and family when they visit, not one person has said anything negative. I have learned most of the staff names, and I finally speak Spanish when greeting them and ordering my food. :) The LOMOPOLLO is my favorite. I get extra beans and chicken for protein and fiber. I have spent over $ 300 in a week here by eating here multiple times within the same week. In that week, I eat here twice a day a couple of times. I take bets with people that, if you do not like the food, I will pay for it. I have not paid for one meal yet. People tell me, «Oh I will just lie» but an empty plate never lies. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have because I have to eat here tonight. It is a Power TV show night. We also do this for Walking Dead and Game of Thrones! Now… I am off of the food, the facility is not the best. It is a «Moms & Pops» establishment. I would love for them to franchise and I would invest heavily. You will see a whole in the wall but I promise you that it is safe and clean. This food reminds you why we live!

Little hole in the wall with amazing food! We will be back. We got the #25 shrimp and the #39 Lomo based on previous reviews. It was busy but the food came out quick. And yeah that green sauce is HOT!

Yucca es loco aquì, Yo. I also think they do an excellent green and yellow sauce. A bit on the watery side, but not enough to detract. I got the Tallarin Saltado de carne y camarones. The steak was good, but the shrimp, man, the shrimp. I think Bubba would approve of these shrimp. Definitely a solid, family owned/operated, Latin joint.

Thank you Unilocal City! This was a great lil mom and pop spot and I made sure to get the dish everyone raves about: lomos. I got mine with chicken and shrimp and it was pretty good and a huge portion. Got a side of plantains and it was good. Location… ehhh I thought I was in the wrong part of town lol. But this place is not about frilly location or décor, you come to just eat.

Love the food here. I hit this place up at least 3 times a month. The limo Saltado is some the best I have had. I even ventured out and tried the beef tounges tacos. This place is always busy I would definitely recommend to stop by and try this place out

I read the reviews on this place and it sounded good. so I ordered one pupusa mixed and the pupusa was ok, it lacked the amount cheese and pork that should’ve been in it. the pupusa was mostly tortilla. I also ordered the most talked about thing in the menu and the price also is was drove me to try it.” lomo Saltado” and I ordered the carne(beef). however when I got my food it was chicken. People in the restaurant were eating the lomo Saltado de carne(beef) and it looks good. however the chicken was just ok. tiny pieces of chicken, thin strip fries, white rice and black beans.

I had the Steak Lomo Saltaldo and plantains and am very happy. Tucked away in a little strip mall the restaurant is clean, small and well-lit. The food was great and my only complaint is that the TV was up so loud. I’d recommend it. Try something different and avoid the mall around the corner. Oh yeah… the green sauce… hot but good.

This restaurant seems to be very popular. When I went to dinner with my family, It got pretty busy. I ordered the Lomo saltado which is slices of beef, fries, grilled peppers/onions served with rice. SOOGOOD! I also got the horchata which was very authentic and not too sweet.

I am surprised how many stars this place got. I am giving 3 stars because the food was alright. The place is definitely the«hole in wall» place. Tried the cheese and cheese with shredded pork Papusas, not really worth getting. I had better Papusas elsewhere and these were not authentic and they used some type of cheese for the pork that reminded me of queso dip and there was not pork in it… The tacos were decent, nothing out of the ordinary. The lomo Saltado(steak and combo meals) was ordered, it was decent, a little salty. Chicharron with yuca, pretty flavorful, but decent. The horchata drink was yummy. Service was okay, it was one lady taking the order and bringing the food. She was nice though.

I was expecting this place to be one of those wowing restaurants that don’t necessarily look like they can wow. And let’s just say I didn’t really get that«wow». When we were seated we were never given menus. We waited for about five minutes, figuring that the waitress was busy and would get to us. But even when she seemed to be available and made eye contact with us several times she never gave us our menus. So we had to get up ourselves and get some and then she kind of just went«oh». Yeah. OH. Service? Eh. Food took a really long time to come out, probably because of the fish. As for the food itself, ehhh. The flavor was good for the lomo saltado dishes but the meat was tough and dry, especially the beef. I actually ordered the chicken lomo saltado but the waitress who took our orders must have not gotten the memo and I was presented with a beef lomo saltado instead. By all means, I didn’t mind that, but still. Come on. The beans that came along with the lomo saltado dishes seemed like it merely came out of a can with the water. On a lighter note, the flan was good. And the rice. I guess. Oh and the fries in the lomo saltado.

To my fellow Lomo Saltado lovers you need to ven acá! Riveria’s is a simple, authentic, Peruvian restaurant, tucked into a dated strip mall in the unrenovated section of Springfield. However, do not let this deter you– this place is legit. The lomo saltado does not disappoint! They did not skimp on the carne, served with a bed of rice and the frijoles were delicious. The portion size for me was enough for two meals. Of course my hunny, inhaled his food and tried to steal what I couldn’t finish. While we were there I kept sneaking peeks at the other patrons’ plates and planning my next meal. Riveria’s also appears to offer an awesome lunch special– Lomo Saltado for $ 7.50– I believe until 4pm! I can’t wait to return and try other menu items. Riveria’s makes me want to never cook again.
