Superior Rents & Sales

I rarely write reviews, but am absolutely compelled to write this review because when a company goes above and beyond what is necessary to provide customer satisfaction they should be applauded. I had reserved a Track Skid Steer to clear an old road and finish some work that is beyond my tractors ability. The day of pick up Keith, Dave and Matt decided to make sure my truck was capable of towing the unit. They were aware of the gross weights of every Skid steer and advised me to chose a safer (and less expensive unit). Furthermore, they made sure the unit was loaded and secured correctly. Upon arrival at the job site (one hour away) the unit was not working correctly– a crazy, fluke deal, no ones fault. We spoke several times on the phone and Dave volunteered to drive to the location and fix the problem. An hour later Dave was not satisfied with the machine. He surveyed the job site then took the machine back to the store and brought out a new one (after hours, on his own time). Once again Dave politely apologized for what was not even their fault. He quickly made sure everything was in working order. When faced with problems, Keith, Dave and Matt came up with solutions. Throughout this whole process, these three guys were polite, courteous and fair. They bent over backwards to make sure I was a satisfied customer. Where there should have been frustration there became faith– that customer service is not dead, and the good people at Superior have earned a loyal customer.

We rented a saw and an accident happened and equipment got damaged we were honest about it we were told it couldn’t be fixed so we were charged a lot of money we just went back in there a month later and the equipment was repaired not replaced they lied to us would not recommend them they are dishones

I visited superior rents because their rental price was five dollars cheaper than the other rental place in town. However, they got the other five dollars when they charged me for the blade to the reciprocating saw I rented. I rarely use power tools, therefore I didn’t think to ask if a blade was included with the rental and they didn’t mention it on the phone either. I had difficulty getting the blade into the saw. I think there was something wrong with the mechanism that locks the blade. The gentleman at the store also had difficulty getting the blade out for me. When I was leaving the store I made a polite suggestion that they should tell people that they will need to purchase a blade for that item when they call for a price. The gentleman was not receptive to my comment and seemed to have a problem with being polite or friendly. When I left the store, another customer was outside, so I made a comment about the lack of friendly service at the store and he replied «no they are not very polite here». Be careful renting from this store. There is a sign behind the counter that says if the equipment is not returned clean there is a $ 60 an hour charge for cleaning returned items. The reciprocating saw that I rented was dirty when I rented it and I hope they don’t expect me to clean up their mess for them and I hope they don’t charge me for a dirty saw. I almost gave two stars because the price was cheaper than the other place in town, but I would rather pay a slightly higher fee to rent from a place closer to my home and probably get better service.

I contacted another location of superior rents today after my bad experience at the East Kearney location. I explained that I wasn’t sure if my bad experience was with the manager or not but I wanted to express my concern about my bad experience to somebody in management. The gentleman at the South Campbell location asked for a description of who I spoke with this morning and told me it didn’t sound like it was the manager at East Kearney. He contacted the manager at the East Kearney location who returned my call late this afternoon. He listen to my concerns and assured me that he would speak with his employees and address the matter promptly. He also told me that he called the other customer who had returned or rented equipment at the same time I was there this morning and spoke with him about the employees and his experiences there as well. I appreciate the efforts and assurances made by the manager and I may return in the future when I need to rent equipment. Hopefully my experience next time will be better.
