If you’ve ever been in one of our stores, then you’ve had a taste of who we are. We’re fully dedicated to what we do, have a passion for nutrition and health knowledge, as well as an intense drive to give each customer the best service (and products) possible. If this sounds like you, then read on to learn more about who we are both as a company as well as individuals to see if you’ve got what it takes.

We always go the extra mile for customers, co-workers, and the company. We strive to always over-deliver and exceed people’s expectations at everything we do, and we do so with enthusiasm. We understand that going the extra mile for people is what results in word of mouth, which is the driving force behind real growth. We strive to WOW people with our outstanding customer service. It’s not just something we say, it’s something we do, and our daily actions reflect this.

We are always learning and striving to better the company and ourselves. We believe in taking the time to learn things on our own to better ourselves personally and improve our performance. We know that learning is essential to growing and that our personal growth and performance have a direct impact on the company’s growth and performance. We work to get better every day and constantly push ourselves for personal progress and make it a point to never be the weak link on the team.

History

Established in 1999.

The history of Supplement Superstores dates back to our humble beginnings in 1999 in Springfield, MO. Chris Klein and I were college students at Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University). Buddies since high school, we both had solid knowledge about working out and supplements and were interested in starting a business together; a store combining those two disciplines seemed like a great idea. It sounded easy, but we soon faced the financial challenges that any start up faces, so we did what most college kids do, we maxed out every credit card we owned! This helped us buy a few products and supplies. We figured by opening a store, we wouldn’t have to get «real jobs» and customers would flock to the store when the doors opened. That year we signed our first lease in a building across from the original Bass Pro Shops store. And so it began…
