The Regency Showcase featured national and regions bands in the 80’s and 90’s to the tune of 250+ shows a year. When owner, Gary L. Thomas, decided it was time for a hiatus, he leased the venue to Icon Nightclub for 9 years. Now, the legendary Regency is back with a few upgrades. It’s latest renovation transformed the venue into a Vegas/South Beach Miami style club. You won’t believe you’re in Springfield.

In 1984, in a nearly deserted downtown Springfield, concert promoter, Gary L. Thomas, uncovered a diamond in the rough when he chose 307 Park Central East as the home of Springfield’s first full-fledged nightclub and concert venue, The Regency Showcase. During his tenure as The Don of Downtown Entertainment, Thomas definitely brought it. From Marilyn Manson, 2 Live Crew and Blind Melon, to Collective Soul, Veruca Salt and Jewel, Thomas brought in national acts to the sweet tune of 200+ shows a year. The history of 307 is legendary. Home to The Regency for 16 years, the Icon for 9 years, and now back to the legendary Regency, 307 boasts the title as Springfield’s longest running, highest occupancy and most popular nightclub/concert venue.
