Pampering Day Gone Wrong — two girls, one 30 before 30 list and no where to go! — First we show up for our 9:30AM appointment and the door is locked. Store opens at 10AM. We had to call to get in. — Lou(Lourdes) provided great service and worked to squeeze in an extra appointment.(The only reason we are adding 1 star is for Lou and her service). — Betty overbooked herself for blow out #2 and put me under a chair hair blow dryer to «preserve body.» Up to this point we are trying to have an open mind, enjoy the day, relax, there was no rush… — Betty applied a level 5 foundation to my porcelain skin, when I told her it was too dark, she said she would blend — she didn’t. I looked like am oompa loompa. — I told her prior to starting, that I wanted to be natural and it was too extreme but she kept going and said«why would you pay me if it looks like something you can do yourself.» Makeup application # 2 — Huda laid me down so I couldn’t see what she was doing and had no control. I expressed that I wanted to keep it natural as we were having a day date, not a special occasion. Despite their insisting that one of us was getting married. — Next thing I know, I have eye liner wings going in two different directions and whack baby doll lashes. I literally could not look at myself or interact with anyone else, I was insecure about my new look. I couldn’t wait to put my sunglasses on!!! Before we get the total, we are still trying to keep an open mind and appreciate the experience — Then the bill… $ 140+!!! After being quoted online at booking for $ 77. — They used test makeup so the cost of supplies is not factored into this cost. — Management could not explain the change in cost other then to suggest they were master stylists, which did not reflect in our face/hair. We literally bought makeup remover wipes and took it off as soon as we got to the car, and drove across the street to target to get makeup and fix the disaster. Overall, we felt very taken advantage of and would never recommend going there for salon services. We are grateful that we did not actually have an event because this could have been much more devastating.

Went for a facial and wasn’t super satisfied. Store is offering a promotion for $ 57 facials. I make an appointment and tell them this is what I want. Sit in the chair, lady examines my face and says it will be $ 72. I tell her I want the $ 57 special she says I don’t do those because I’m a master and my prices are higher. This was never told to me at any point. I had a gift card and it was 30% off so I stayed. I hate going to a place where the price suddenly changes. I would never expect that from ulta. During the facial she didn’t inform me of what She was doing. After the facial I had to ask her what I should do or not do. I have had other facials and this one was half done. Customer service not great. Wouldn’t go back here

Jerry is the best! She knows EVERYTHING! I love that she takes the time to share her knowledge. Not only does she represent her position, she plays well with any and all freelancers. I currently work for both Dr. Brandt and Clarisonic and I can always count on her help! Same goes for the ladies who work the Prestige color world. The Benefit Brow guru Tacasha and Whitney for Lancôme are amazing. We all work in a world where client service makes or breaks our numbers. It’s nice to know I have an Ulta crew I can count on.

I had a great experience at this store this past week. Two of the employees that helped me were very knowledgeable, friendly, and took time to assist me rather than rush me(Whitney was amazing — please never let her go!). Based on the current Unilocal rating of three stars I was a little worried about how the store would be, but I was pleasantly surprised. I did visit on a weeknight in the evening, so maybe I had a better experience than if the store was busy on a weekend afternoon. Needless to say, I will be frequenting this store much more often now due to the positive experience I had here compared to the god awful time I had at the Woodbridge location last night. The Woodbridge store could learn a few things from the Springfield store.

They have okay customer service. However the women that work here have no idea about the products they are selling. It’s seems more like an overpriced CVS. If you work in a Beauty Store than at least have knowledge about the items you are selling. If you ask them about different shampoos. They always say«I don’t know,» or «I’ve heard it was good.» Also there is one particular girl who doesn’t carry herself like a Beauty consultant and looks kinda disheveled when she comes to work. Seems like she doesn’t take pride in her appearance at all.

They are your standard Ulta. Neat, clean, friendly staff. Parking is easy. usually! Decent stock of items, except with Anastasia and new offerings of NYX! Since Ulta’s are few and far between, I usually try to stop here when I can.

I’m giving this store a 2 star review because you can never get any help from the associates. They do not say hello, acknowledge your presence, or ask if you need help. Products are fine, but the management really needs to work on the customer service attitude at this store.

This was an overwhelming experience for me. I never usually go to beauty stores to shop because the amount of «stuff» is confusing. They did not have the bare minerals lip gloss set that we were looking for but suggested to call different stores. But we were too lazy to do that on our own so we just ended up ordered it online. And I requested help from the salon staff to find a good shampoo for my hair. Associate was knowledgeable and recommended several after hearing my needs. Cash wrap experience was efficient and smooth.

The store it’s self is pretty average, it’s not quite as large or well stocked as some locations I’ve been to. Most of the people working there are friendly but aren’t too keen on helping you find a product, no offer to check other stores, or to even look at the computer to see if they have some in back or in a part of the store that wasn’t quite expected. The salon is pretty good, I was concerned at first because the only person working in the salon with good hair was the receptionist and everyone working back there with the exception of the receptionist was at least 50. The stylist actually did a good job on my hair, and she listened to what I wanted done and actually looked at the pictures I brought with me. Overall I quite liked the cut, but will not be coming in again, I had a coupon that made the hair cut $ 25 but it’s regularly $ 36 and I’m not that impressed. So my search for a new hairdresser continues.

Fix the bloody bathrooms for Gods sake! So tired of coming here to spend my money and I can’t even use the toilet when nature calls. The women’s bathroom has not worked for months now and the door is locked. Women can use the mens bathroom but the bloody door doesn’t even lock once you get inside. Get with it and fix it. Not acceptable at all.

I only ever come here for the Benefits Brow Bar, so that’s really all I can speak to. This is my favorite place to get my eyebrows waxed. They do a very thorough job and I am always pleased by the results. The price is also very fair for the service provided and the time taken.

THANKYOUBETTYANDMI’LISA! I’ve been to many Ulta locations and this one is by far my favorite. It is very clean, there is a wide array of products, and the customer service is unparalleled. I felt inclined to write a review based on a wonderful experience I had last month when I had help finding a skin product to balance my complexion; the product is amazing and I thank whomever helped me for their expertise! So I’m writing now because today’s experience put my adoration for this store and its employees over the top. This morning I called to reserve a hair appointment and was delightfully greeted by Mi’Lisa. I explained what type of services I wanted and that my hair is long, curly, and layered, and Mi’Lisa said she wanted to pair me with Betty because she’s confident Betty could give me exactly what I need. Betty is so sweet, talented, and I hope she stays at this Ulta location for the rest of her life or until I don’t have a single hair on my head left because she is a keeper!!! A little background: The last 3 hair dresser/stylists(not at this store) I’ve been to chopped waaay too much off when I said«no more than 1 inch max» and an inch can go a long way with curly hair… not tryin’ to look like Little Orphan Annie… I’m honestly not sure if there’s new management or staff or what, but reading all the other reviews leaves me scratching my head because I’ve been in this store so many times and wish I could give it more stars. I had an appointment with Nick, and he was amazing! The best stylist in the group, he was attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. The rest of the ladies in the salon were very sweet; though I am definitely very glad I chose Nick as my stylist. Everyone go see Nick at ulta in Springfield, he’s perfect!

Um, this place is not up to Ulta standards. The stylists don’t have nice hair at all, which does not make me want to let them cut my hair. They were in their 60s at least. The service is minimal. I walked in for my appointment and got one look at the craziness and walked right back out. The Ulta experience I am used to is high end. This is a touch on the ghetto side. I would never return.

Remind me NEVA to stop here again! I have never seen a store so empty before… and Im not talking customers. Multiple customers were circling the store to see if they’d over looked shelves where the items should be located. And like the rest of the ninnies who stayed in the store to find an item, I circled around once, thrice, 5x and finally thought I was benign ridiculous on my 7th try. I stopped a store associate, «Excuse me! Excuse me!» I hadn’t been paying attention until that moment that she was circling the store too and extending multiple apologies to customers. Yea. So what I couldn’t find: concealer, primer, makeup(should have known), nail polish remover. Did I say this was the worst Ulta Ive ever been in. Even their store brand products were in disarray on the shelves. If there hadn’t been any visible employees, one might think that they’d been robbed. The service was friendly, but Ill stick to the Ulta in Woodbridge.
