History

Established in 2007.

Upper Cervical Health Centers of America has been open since 2007, with Dr Frederick T Schurger, DC seeing patients with a broad range of conditions, from neck & back pain to multiple sclerosis, headaches, asthma, Meniere’s & childhood conditions like colic & ear infections. He has helped every person to the best of his ability as he can with the use of Upper Cervical Care.

Dr Schurger has diligently honed his craft, and is an instructor in the Blair Upper Cervical technique, a board member for the same, and was awarded the Blair Chiropractor of the Year in 2011. His wife Jeanne helps run the office, and Kirsty runs the front desk & scheduling.

Dr Schurger is currently pursuing a Diplomate in Upper Cervical Procedures, and is becoming sought out as a speaker & researcher.

Business Owner

Frederick T. Schurger, D. C earned a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-​Hulman Institute of Technology and worked on custom robotic systems in the engineering field for seven years. After an accident practicing martial arts, Dr. Schurger realized that he was not going to get better with the current medical care he was receiving. He sought out a chiropractor who not only showed him a better way to heal, but also pointed him to a new personal and professional path. Dr. Schurger’s attention and heart became focused on finding a better way to help people get healthy, without drugs or surgery.

Dr. Schurger attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic in October 2006. During his first year at Palmer, he continued to receive full spine care, but still experienced chronic back pain and sinus problems. Upper Cervical Care relieved these persistent and painful symptoms.
