Dr. Ashish Chhitwal is a native of New Delhi, India, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia in Biology. After completion of his undergraduate studies, he went on to study at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received his Doctorate in Optometry. He completed his Residency at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio, where he specialized in the treatment of and management of complex ocular diseases.

I’m very happy with the service I received at Visual Health Doctors of Optometry at Springfield Mall. Dr. Damiani could not have been more kind, attentive and knowledgeable. And the staff were extremely helpful. Erla and Daniela helped me select the best frames for my face (so much so that the other patients in the waiting room wholeheartedly agreed with their recommendations!). Mateen helped to fit my new progressive glasses and carefully explained how to get used to them. All were very friendly and helpful. It’s much appreciated!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience! Dr. Damiani was thorough and professional, taking the time to answer my questions and explain things clearly. The staff was friendly and helpful when it came time to choose my frames from their large selection and quickly processed my insurance and payment, finding the best value for me. I will keep coming back to this location.

I went in as self pay. The whole experience from start to finish was atrocious. Staff tried charging me twice for appointment, Doctor did not give 2 shits about any of my questions/​concerns or eye health history. The doctor refused to give me a paper prescription for my contacts and insisted I order from them (pretty sure that’s a little illegal). Decided to buy them online anyway and the office denies my Rx because the doctor inputted a different power than what I was told and given samples. I was told by the staff that they would correct the mistake only if I ordered from them (pretty sure that’s illegal too).
I went to For Eyes instead and everyone there was absolutely amazing. It was refreshingly nice to be around staff and doctors who actually care about their patients. These people almost made me forget what high quality patient care means. The only sad part is that I had to pay AGAIN out of pocket.

Dr. Damiani was pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable and one of the best eye doctors that I’ve been to. I’d definitely come back again next year. Located at the newly updated Springfield Town Center on the 2nd level.

I decided to give this Visual Health Doctors location a try due to a groupon deal I had viewed. They had a great deal on frames going on, so I really didn’t need the groupon after all. Dr. Damiani was very pleasant and knowledgeable during my visit. His wife who helped check me in/​out was very kind as well. Nice frame selection, and the associate who helped me pick my frames out was awesome. I forget her name sadly, but she did a wonderful job of assisting me and helped me find new glasses that I love love love. I will definitely return in the future.

I saw Dr. Damiani and he was very pleasant. He took time and really listened and address my needs. And worked to get to resolution for my eyes that have lot of stigma. I am very happy with the service.
Associates are very professional and I can’t remember his name but he was very helpful and through with my frame selection and insurance coverages.

My husband and I were very pleased with Dr. Damiani and the staff at the Visual Health Doctors of Optometry. His examination was thorough and his staff extremely helpful. There is a wide assortment of frames to choose from.
Everyone was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. Best of all, our new glasses are great.

Doctor was very nice & thorough. Staff is also nice. They have a wide range of glasses and brands. After I picked my frames
I received my glasses a week later. The overall experience was good and I will certainly go back
