Wilkerson’s Monroe Shell

Limped in at 8:20 pm on a holiday weekend with a punctured tire. Needed an immediate repair or would not make the additional hour of driving we needed to do to get to our destination. The guy at the desk was very friendly and efficient. He had the tire off the car, repaired and back on the car in under 15 minutes. He noticed that the valve covers were missing on 2 tires and he replaced them. He checked the pressure on all the tires and we were out and on the road very quickly. The price for service was extraordinarily reasonable. A fantastic experience. I highly recommend this business!

Hey I needed to get a small storage shed moved, I called Wilkerson because I had had good experience with them in the past. The nice man on the phone said Oh yes we move storage sheds, asked me how big it was and said Oh its no problem. The first attempt was a bust, because the man said it was raining and he didn’t want to take a chance on getting his truck stuck.
Ok I can accept that. at that point we scheduled to have the guy show up between 9 and 10 a.m. on the following Saturday, to move the shed then. saturday comes 10 goes by, 11 goes by, 12 goes by, at 12:30, two and a half hours after I was expecting him, or three and a half depending on how you count it he finally calls to tell me he’s not coming. At this point I was fairly annoyed, having wasted my entire Saturday morning waiting for the guy to show up and never did. But I agreed to give them a third try on Monday afternoon at 130.
At 1 o’clock, I called the nice man back to make sure that everything was on schedule, and was told No there are more tows in front of you, and it’s going to be later. Oh and by the way as an afterthought he mentioned that his driver had been by my place and said that there’s a tree in front of the shed and they couldn’t move it at all. At this point I mentioned that there is not any tree in front of the shed and could you please have a driver come by anyway to take a look.
When the driver arrived, he had all kind of song and dance about five different reasons why he couldn’t possibly move this and his truck wouldn’t handle it and so on, mind you this is an 8 by 10 storage shed about as small as they make and it was put in place with a rollback tow truck, so I know it can be moved.
So the moral of the story is despite the fact that they will tell you that they move sheds, don’t believe them, they really really really really really don’t want to. I currently have the next best thing to a whole week into trying to get this shed moved, and I guess they just don’t want my money.
