Zinga! Frozen Yogurt

(Review based on about 20 visits.) The California Tart flavor is very similar to Pinkberry, which I love. Get a cup, pick a cookie or cake «bottom» (or not), pick your flavors. They offer tiny sample cups to try flavors before you buy. Lots of topping options, including fresh fruit, candy, cereal, nuts, chocolate chips, coconut, chocolate and caramel sauce. The shop is very clean. I have never found the store to be overcrowded during the times I have visited. I really appreciate the cold water dispenser and colorful spoons. If you’re on a budget, watch the kids! The bowls are very big and they charge by the ounce. Tip: There is usually a Groupon available.

Decent selection of froyo that changes every time I come. Plenty of selection of toppings. The only topping they don’t have is heath. Not expensive, charge by weight. Decent music and free WiFi. Also has an outside patio to sit and enjoy the weather.

Ok someone two stars ok let me start ok i love this place it’s self looks nice yogurts good employees awesome but the manager is awful she is a terrible human being now I dont normally go here but u know what maybe it’s just me she seems nice to other ppl but a lotta my friends also complain about her here’s my thought she’s rude and impolite and cheap and also accusing I hate ppl who if they see something even tiny or minor they will call it out for everyone to hear but if u removed her I would give 5 stars

I went into this yogurt place and I received a free cup of frozen yogurt. If you get a cup of froyo and it weights 13.5 oz then you can get it for free!
They have different bowls that you can pick. They have waffle, cake or other bowls. If you don’t get a special bowl make sure you get a divider so that you can try a lot of different flavor with various toppings. My favorite flavor is the cookie and cream. I love how they have so many toppings to pick from to make their froyo even better.

A fun and exciting place to get frozen yogurt. This place even has acai bowls!
First when you step in you can pick a base for your frozen yogurt. You can get a waffle bowl or a bowl with cake. Then you can pick your froyo. The best one was cookies and cream. I loved the texture of their froyo. It was slightly icy. Make sure you get their dividers, so that you can get different froyo flavors with different toppings.
When you go to cash register you can possibly get a free one if you get exactly 13.5 oz.

This place is great! Don’t let the ongoing construction in the shopping center right now turn you away, this is a really awesome froyo place. And I know, you’re probably thinking, «Meh, all frozen yogurt places are the same,» and to a certain extent that may be true, there are certain elements that do set them apart.
Firstly, the place is super clean and bright. It has a nice froyo flavor selection, even including things like gelato and italian ice in addition to traditional frozen yogurt. I got some tart blackberry and some sweet vanilla, then went to the toppings bar. And this is where Zinga really sets itself apart. I have NEVER seen so many different toppings in one place before. Not only do they have all the standbys — fruit, boba poppers, mochi, candy, etc — but they also have an entire wall of cereal! Fruity pebbles, Lucky Charms (marshmallows only, duh!), corn flakes… plus sprinkles and other toppings as well.
Whew. Obviously we all know that froyo is just an excuse to eat a big bowl fo random sugary toppings, and Zinga definitely has the most extensive offerings I’ve seen yet.

Four stars is a little generous, but it’s good for locals. The only real downside at all is that the yogurt itself isn’t super-​flavorful. But there’s a good variety of yogurt flavors, a TON of toppings (fruit and sweets alike), good service, and freely available tiny sample cups, and it’s not that expensive if you ignore the size of the cup and just serve yourself a reasonable amount. Probably half the price of someplace like Pinkberry.
And I’m rounding up because of the spoons. They have 6 neon colors of spoons to choose from, and for some reason this always makes me happy.

My kids love this place so much that we chose to hold my 5-year-old’s birthday party here in the spring. It was perfect! The owner, staff, and Zinga party planner went out of their way to make her feel special and entertain the kids. Everyone got yummy frozen yogurt and toppings. Then the kids got a custom tour of the kitchen and freezer. They showed the kids how to make waffle cones, new batches of yogurt (the birthday girl got to add an ingredient and was super excited!), and even how they clean and sanitize the equipment. The kids were totally fascinated (even the ten year old). The staff set up a fun ‘pin the topping on the frozen yogurt’ game that had everyone laughing. Each kid got a goody bag with candy and a Zinga $ 5 gift card. It was the best party she’s had so far and she wants to have her next one there. It’s the most economical choice by far. I was pleasantly surprised and highly recommend it. Oh, and their froYo is YUMMY.

There are more fro-​yo places in the Burke/​Springfield than I can count… this location is a tad different since they also offer custard, sorbet, and frozen yogurt! It’s a madhouse there when there are little kiddie parties: no seating, toppings spilling all over the place, and lines near the fro-​yo machines. The toppings are plentiful, the samples are yummy, but the crowds are overwhelming.

Zinga! I really want to say Ba-​Zinga! (points to those who get the reference). Self-​service frozen yogurt spot.
Pluses:
They have a basket filled with taster cups. You don’t have to ask for them (though I do understand why).
They have different options for bottoms, if you want them. Cake, cookies, brownies, waffle cones, or the traditional cup. It’s your choice.
They have a variety of flavors to choose from including Greek frozen yogurt. When I went, I had their Greek vanilla with honey and berry flavors. Sooo good. Smooth and creamy, with a hint of tart flavor.
Toppings: They have toppings in the middle which hold their fruits and some candy. They also have the Z-​Bar, which are dispensers lined against the wall full of dry toppings. Simple but really smart way to display toppings.
Clean establishment, with indoor and outdoor seating.

The Sweet Greek paired with the Greek Caramel Java is amazing. The best place we’ve found so far in the area.

Uses your phone number to record points which to me is better than a punch card. Not much different than the other yougurt places in the area. Military discount every day.

This is really close to my house and I really wanted to love this place — I cannot. Its new, clean, pleasing to the eye, outdoor seating, friendly staff. I just do not care for the Yogurt. Damn its so close too. My daughter and I went back twice hoping we were wrong about the flavors but they just do not work for us. I find many flavors too salty with a waxy aftertaste. Go 5 miles up the road to Josie’s if you are a Fro Yo fan. Sorry Zinga! we want to love you but cannot even like you, bummer…
Update: I think they have modified their formula or I just have changed my taste — I enjoy many of the flavors now. Still not the best Ive ever had but its just fine. Friendly service, clean bright facility.
