Cathedral City, CA
The spots in this park are so narrow that you can’t put out you awning without hitting your neighbor. If you have 2 RVs side by side and they both have slide outs you don’t have more than about 4 feet between RVs. The park is right by the highway so you hear the road noise all the time. There is no cable.
The positive is there is grass to walk dogs which I appreciate. The bathrooms are very clean.
This is a parking lot for travelers and not a place to stay for any length of time.

We aren’t always the biggest fans of the KOAs, but I agree with some other reviews. The place was kept up and the staff was friendly. We were only here for a day, too, but we had no issues, and would stay again.

We had a very pleasant one night stay. Margo was so wonderful and accommodating! She even took the time to explain to me everything. The restrooms and showers were very nice and clean. Would stay there again.

Okay, I read the other reviews and I’m a little shocked! First all this is a campground for folks traveling on the highway, let’s be honest, it’s not located at the entrance of Yellowstone! So with that said! They were very accommodating, the park is clean, the staff was friendly and I thought the bathrooms/​showers were very nice!!! I am an older gal and sleep is not my strong suit! But I slept just fine at this park! We were in the center of park though. They have a nice little dog run and although we did not use the pool, it looked clean and refreshing! I think this park is an excellent place to stop and get off the road! We stayed there going to Montana and we stayed again in our way back. I would stay there again!

You won’t get much sleep here. Train horns every morning between 3 – 5 am, also in the evenings. No shade in the tent area which is made of wood chips (watch out for splinters and leave your air mattress at home. Lawn gets mowed at 7:30 in the morning and the showers/​restrooms are closed first thing in the morning.

You cannot make reservation online (so you cannot lookup price of a cabin). Hard to get through by phone. They charge more on the credit card than they tell you by phone. They get your name and address wrong on the reservation. Then when you cancel the reservation they keep $ 10.00. We will be complaining to main KOA headquarters.

We usually stay at this park on our way south to Arizona in January and again in the spring on our way home. However, they have seen the last of us. For $ 50 a night, we had no cable service, the water line was frozen (the heat tape had been unplugged), the site was 6 – 8 inches deep in snow (which apparently fell a week before our stay) and the restrooms are not even close to clean. The idea of rooms equipped with shower, toilet and sink is great as you can actually have a shower without your clothes getting wet, that is, if the shower curtain isn’t torn! Considering that other parks offering a site, free showers and power for $ 20 to $ 40 for their winter visitors, $ 50 is not acceptable.

Ashe County, NC
Located between a busy highway and railroad tracks, so the noise is constant, day and night, Awkward placement of restrooms, with no parking space nearby, means a very long walk from most sites to toilets and showers. «WiFi» is worse than nothing. After following all the steps to log on —-with long waits between each step –your screen says you are connected to the internet, but when you try to download a site, your screen says, (after a wait of 10 – 15 minutes) «Unable to connect to the Internet.» Maddening. The rules about dogs are not enforced. We saw several dogs wandering around the park, taking dumps in the grass. Blecch.
