So here we are almost a year into our phone contract and the last 45days we cannot count on phone service in our place. We went to the AT&T store to purchase a signal booster this excursion was a total SERVICEFAIL! They told us to switch phone carriers!

NOT an ATT fan… anything but. But occasionally you have to deal with them and while their phone support is just plain god-awful(about as polite as I can put it), the service I received at this store ALMOST makes me think nice things about ATT. This time; a simple question was answered with excellent clarity and Customer Service Rep Vanessa showed me some solutions that I was not aware were available to me in regards to the data solutions between my phone and other devices… they not only offered me better service as a result, it also saved me a few bucks, to boot. That’s a win-win in any book, and no one could be more surprised than I. I hate to admit it, but I’m impressed.

Take the time to go to Jacksonville to the at&t store on Southside Blvd by the Target & Home Depot. The difference in customer service between the St. Augustine store and the Southside Blvd. Store is like night and day. I live in St. Augustine but I’ll drive the extra 25 miles if I need a phone. And as the other reviewer states the wait just to even check out at the St. Augustine store is ridiculous… and if you have cash it’s frowned upon because they actually have to use their cash register *GASP*

Moved to Florida and went here to get new numbers for the wife/kids but keep my out of state number. They said it couldn’t be done even with AT&T telling it could. AT&T did it over the phone and all I got was flack from the store, saying that was illegal. Odd group of people. The second time I went back I got some attitude so I just walked out, not ever going back.

Haven’t come here for any issue yet. Just payments and they’re friendly and helpful even when kiosk isn’t functioning properly. Overheard a customer with issues and the gent was more than helpful and patient.

By far most knowledgeable staff compared to most AT&T stores, but be prepared to wait up to a half hour to speak with anyone here.

My wife and I recently had 2AT&T lines established at our new home — I considered Voice over IP as an alternative but was concerned about voice quality. I should have worried more about being ripped off by the unbelievable LIARS at the phone monopoly AT&T. We were told the total connection charge for both lines would be $ 80. I now sit here with two initial bills — one for $ 266.86 and one for $ 179.24, which include nearly $ 200 in wiring and other charges I was NEVER told about when I bought the service from the salesperson on the phone. When I called to complain the«customer service» rep asked me «did you ask about whether you would be charged for wiring and these other charges»? Truly. If you want wired phone service, AT&T is our ONLY choice, so if it costs money for them to get you hooked up I think they have a responsibility to tell you what those charges will be. Apparently they don’t believe they need to be honest about this. Oh — and if I want to cancel it is going to cost me $ 224.00 to break this contract. I didn’t know at the time that my contract was apparently with the Devil. I cannot begin to tell you how much I hate this unconscionable company right now. They are liars and rip-off artists and should be shut down. I would rate zero stars if Unilocal would allow,

No one knows anything about the products they are selling. I also waited 7 months for my rebate… People here need more knowledge about what they are selling. I am so sorry for the lack of standards that I saw at this At&t store.

AT&T does not work well in St. Augustine. I am depressed by AT&T’s lack of giving a crap. They wouldnt allow me to cancel my contract without charging me $ 250, and that was cheaper since I’d had the phone for a year. It worked fine in Alaska, Mass, and California and all through southwest US. I’ve been a customer of at&t for 5 years since before I joined the military. Now I’m stuck without service. Every other call drops. I have to use Skype to call, basically I have an iPod touch. No one can call me, everything goes straight to voice mail. The funnything is every time I spoke with at&t customer service, the call would drop at least once, at times thrice. They still said I’d have to pay $ 250 to cancel. I’ve been having problems for 3 months and now decided $ 100 per month is too much to be paying for a phone that doesn’t work. At first I was told no problem. A lady in this store told me I shouldn’t have to pay! She agreed with me. Now she doesn’t work there. Now some tools work there. This big chubby guy who is not sympathetic and another tool who lies and says they don’t have problems with AT&T. Another customer was in the store and she was very frustrated with AT&T as well, very happily agreeing with me about how her service was horrible too. Both the guys working there said their phones worked fine. These guys would be nazi sympathisers if AT&T told them to. So AT&T tells me I need a new sim card in their efforts to get me off the phone. So I go to get a new sim card, and the big guy cuts my card backward when he put it in. I found this out later when I asked him why my phone says ‘no sim’. His co-worker fixed it and cut a new sim for me. Of course my phone still doesn’t work. I’m now off to craigslist to try and sell this phone in Jacksonville or some nearby town where someone maybe wants to take over my contract. Hopefully AT&T works there because it definitely doesn’t work in St. Augustine. Another thing, AT&T customer service told me that several towers were down and wouldn’t be fixed for 3 months, ATLEAST! After acknowledging this, they still wouldn’t let me out of the contract. After my call with them got dropped 3 times! They were nice enough to call me back. 1 bar and dropped calls every day, every where. On the beach, inland, even all over downtown. So I’ve had the new sim in and of course it still doesn’t work. WEAKJUICE!!! Just another step for AT&T to slow customers down and eat up their money while they pay for a phone that doesn’t work. $ick evil greedy vampire bastards
