Specialties

Located in the City’s oldest historic district, known as «Old Town» which dates back to 1572, the Bayfront Inn is more than exquisite vacation destination! The centerpiece of the Bayfront Inn is the Rodriguez House, a First Spanish Period building built by Royal Decree of the King of Spain. Its magnificent coquina walls hold the secrets of nearly 450 years of American history — and they’re here for you to discover again, at the Bayfront Inn.

History

Established in 1967.

The south end of the property was a private residence built in the 1940’s which boasted 15 bedrooms & 15 Bathrooms.

Sadly in 1959 the house was torn down and a small motor court was built in it place named the Casa Marina Court.

The Bayfront Inn spans four lots and was once home to four owners. The oldest building on the property was the Rodrigues House, which dates back to 1572. In the 1950’s the north end of the property was a hotel named The Ocean View Hotel, A __story hotel with __rooms.

In 1961 the owner of the rest of the property purchased the Ocean View Hotel, tore it down and build the north wing, linking all the property’s together and named it The Casa Marina Motel
