They really do have the best New England Clam Chowder south of New England & their breakfast is to die for. Had the Sunrise Special includes eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, home fries, pancakes you can substitute harsh Browns & a few other choices I have forgotten everything was delicious cooked perfectly, couldn’t eat it all, $ 10 bucks, wife didn’t like syrup, I liked it, & server was very pleasant & attentive, filled the coffee continually, nice booth, TVs everywhere plus lots of nostalgic items hanging from the walls.

We go to Red Frog often and I have left many positive reviews. But this is not so sparkling. We went for lunch and had a coupon for 50% off one meal. We ordered and ate and when it was time to pay, we were told we could not use the coupon on the lunch menu. No where on the coupon did it say — excluding lunch menu. I know, it’s only $ 4.00 or so but its the principal of the thing. It needs to be clearer and include what is and isn’t a part of the discount. Ps — - our food was fine, our server was fine, but I will have to think about weather or not I will go back.

We like Redfrog for what it is: an okay, average neighborhood eatery. In our experience the food has been consistently good, not great. The portions are generous and when the check arrives we feel that the value was good. We have not experienced the poor service that others have mentioned. When the restaurant is very busy it is noisy and the service does slow down. But I would not characterize it is poor or rude, in my experience. They do boast about all the tvs and that one can see whatever sports event they are interested in. So don’t expect great food but there is good value.

We dined here our first night in town. The drink menu was great and we were happy with our cocktails. I got the crab cakes for an app… They came in some weird white tasteless sauce and were kinda like fried hockey pucks. Dinner was the chili which was mediocre and sweet, not that good. My husband had the Minorcan clam chowder which was great, an unusual but delicious twist on an old classic. His dinner was mahi mahi, also very good. So two hits and two misses equal 3 stars. We probably wouldn’t venture back.

Visited here while on vacation. The Redrog-A-Rita — wonderful drink with a kick. Great food, really enjoyed the ahi tuna wantons — very creative and tasty. Nice waitress, clean restrooms. Had a great evening. We will definitely go back next time we’re in town.

Had dinner here and enjoyed it. They were out of calamari which was disappointing but I opted for the onion straws instead. There were a lot of them and the top layer was good as was the dipping sauce but as typical when you got close to the bottom they got greasy.(Not that I needed to eat them to the bottom as there were plenty) My husband had the Clam Chowder and said it was very good and also had the cucumber and onion salad that was on the specials. For dinner he had the Chicken Bombs in Garlic Parm sauce and they were ok and I had the grilled shrimp over rice. The shrimp were very good and the seasoned rice was very tasty. We would go back again.

Have been here a few times and it is always pleasant. Great place for a sports fan.(even though I am not.) It is a nice place to grab a bite to eat. I have had the turkey wrap once and the monte cristo a few times and have been pleased on each occasion.

The only reason I go back is location… it’s close to home. The staff is sorely in need of customer service training and their telephone skills have much to be desired. The food is good if you can stand to put up with the poor service.

Restaurant has decent enough food and a great place to watch a sporting event. Great Beer specials and plenty of tv space for a plethora of Sunday football. I found a majority of the menu items to be a bit over priced. Waitress was nice but the other staff actually seemed quite annoyed and not happy to be there. All in all I would return again and try some different menu items from their large menu and maybe grab a beer and a game.

If you’re addicted to sports and TV, this is your place. If you are looking for a quiet place for breakfast, keep driving. Over 20 TVs — all blaring sports. Just shoot me.

I wanted to try a place that didn’t have steps since I’m on crutches. The wait staff was very helpful. They made sure we had a booth to keep my foot raises and put my crutches out of the way. I had the Bacon and Ranch Grilled Chicken Wrap with some banging mixed baked beans. My sweetie has the Saint Augustine Shrimp over Linguini. The platter was full of large shrimp served with garlic bread. The food was Hot and Filling. We ended with a baked cheesecake that was to die for. Our server was knowledgable of the menu and he was the only male server. He had a great smile. Thanks for A Most Enjoyable Meal’ Red Frog and McToads has live music. It set the mood for a wonderful dinner.

Haven’t been here since it was Finnegans. Was not expecting much at all(Finnegans wasn’t that great) but their breakfast until noon on Sunday lured me in. The lobster and shrimp eggs Benedict was awesome. Yolks perfectly runny. The hashbrown casserole was probably 900 calories but worth every bite. My husband enjoyed his sausage hash. Service was great. Tea was weak. Will definitely be back.

The first time we stopped here was because I liked the funky name and appearance. The next time will be because the food is great. I can only talk about breakfast because that was the meal we were her to eat. I had the 1 egg special — over easy, with cheese grits and the waitress offered to substitute sliced tomato for the biscuit when I said ‘no bread.’ Mike had a huge western omelet with a generous side of hash browns. Also had the slices of tomato instead of toast. Excellent service and ass kicking coffee — strong but not bitter. This place is funky and has great food. It’s in a strip mall along A1A.

I always have to wonder when I see a place with 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 star reviews. Here’s my story… I went in for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon during what appeared to be an unexpected rush. As I walked in, the waitress/hostess was scowling and speaking harshly to an elderly couple. After being seated, a waitress told us they were down a waitress so we’d have to wait, while at the same time the bartender was chatting with a visiting friend who wasn’t even eating or drinking. After 15 minutes we begged for menus and finally got 4 for our party of 7. Although I knew it was a mistake, I ordered an appetizer and of course it came a full 50 seconds before my meal. Overall the food was not bad, it just wasn’t very good. Someone had seen this place on the internet as THEPLACE for a fish sandwich. it was okay but nothing to recommend to anyone and the pork sandwich was very dry. The décor is a typical Florida sports bar with plain wooden tables, chairs and greasy menus. Since it’s in a strip mall with zero views, I’d say go to any of the other places in St. Augustine beach that at least have a view and waitresses that pretend to not hate their customers.

Dropped in during Celtic fest weekend to avoid the crowds and it was really good! Great menu with lots of selection, good drink options also. Only complaint was my frozen daquiri was practically melted cause our server forgot about it. No biggie! I got the double decker shrimp tacos blackened and they were so good. Baja sauce is delicious and the friends are the best fries ever. Go eat there. Its a fun yummy environment!

Excellent breakfast. Hash brown casserole is a must have. Eggs cooked just right(soft scrambled). Bacon and sausage tasty and cooked perfect as well. Pancakes superb. Service was prompt and friendly. Nothing at all negative to say.

After passing this place many times, we finally had an opportunity to stop in for breakfast. I’m so glad that we did! We each got the Sunrise Special: two pancakes, two pieces of bacon, two sausage links, and two eggs, plus a choice of hashbrowns, home fries or grits, and a choice of toast, English muffin or biscuit. The over medium eggs were cooked perfectly(which she wouldn’t think would be a difficult thing, but in general is almost always a failure!), the bacon was perfectly done, the sausage was tasty, the hashbrowns were good if a little undercooked, and the biscuit was mammoth! Light, fluffy and delicious! The pancakes were almost *too* light and fluffy, if that can be a real thing. I think I just like mine with a little more density, although they were perfectly browned. Maybe I just need to get mine with chocolate chips inside next time! Altogether, a great place for breakfast! Service was casual, quick, and friendly, and we were never left wanting for coffee! Well done!

Just finished breakfast. Service: Excellent(Sarah) Food: Good to very good. Lots of TVs, every one of them on a different channel. Good atmosphere, not bar-like not restaurant-like but somewhere in the middle. Everything was cooked very well except the pancakes were just so-so. Not a pancake connoisseur, however, they were missing something. Light and fluffy as they should be and large as I expected but again, just kind of boring. Nice place, very clean, would we return? You bet.

Fla. Usa Weird location, prices OK food OK waitress was nice, good beer choices. As for the food, got the fish n Chips they were a little dry, got pizza and was over cooked not bad just a little overdone, also got the chicken bacon wrap and was a hit with the kid. Could be a fun place but it was dead.
