History

Established in 2011.

Dr. Joanne Reed opened the doors to Visionary Eyecare in St. Augustine, FL, to better serve the ocular needs of local residents and surrounding regions.

Business Owner

Dr. Reed has been practicing Optometry for 20 years. She graduated beta cum laude from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1991. After practicing in Buffalo, NY for 5 years, she moved to Jacksonville to work in the field of Cataract and Refractive surgery. She has been providing pre and post-​operative care for surgical patients in this practice for 15 years. While her three children were growing, she provided care for patients in a number of Jacksonville Optometry and Ophthalmology practices as well. She is now happy to be using her extensive knowledge base to provide state of the art eye care to patients in her own practice.

She’s an active member of the AOA, FOA, NEFOS, and has almost 20 years of experience in LASIK surgery, having worked with a surgeon and lectured on the procedure.
