Charlie Fox’s Pizzeria & Eatery- St. Charles

I absolutely love this place. Being from the city of Chicago I eat alot of pizza. Are any locations franchised. I think there need to be one of these in the city. Whenever I come to St Charles, I always stop here no matter what I’m doing. I love this place and will always return.
Kayla, you were amazing. Loved the service and you were dope as well. You were good at multitasking, as I watched you with your other table. Thank you so much.

50 min for a pickup! Unacceptable. The pizza is good but not worth waiting 50 min for.

This pizza is terrible, it tastes just like Rosati’s which is horrid awful pizza. Besides that it was way over cooked, cheese like leather and burnt. And I agree 100% with the other bad reviews the phone person taking the order was rude, very short, didn’t care to answer any questions, I as a first timer had… I gave him very specific delivery instructions and he ya ya’d me and didn’t write anything down. Will never ever order from here again — service way below average and pizza garbage and went 1 piece eaten right into it!

Honestly the best pizza in the chicago area. Thin crust cheese is classic. Im used to NY style pizza… I dislike deep dish… so this hits the spot. Easy to eat, eat, eat! Always use a coupon… you get a free small pie!

The portion sizes are huge! I am by no means a pasta connoisseur but my lasagna was perfect for my liking. Plenty of sauce and lots of cheese and filling. The food came out quick probably because we were the only ones there on a late Saturday afternoon. I stole a couple fries from my wife and sons plate and also managed to take a bite of the cheese sticks that came with my nieces kids spaghetti. I should’ve taken bigger bites!
We will be back for the pizza.

It looks like we aren’t the only ones who are tired of the poor service and staff that doesn’t seem to care. We used to order from here 1 – 2 per month but the orders are incorrect way to often. This last time my wife called them to chirp (I told her not to bother and we should just never order from the m again but she wanted to give them the chance to fix it). The manager didn’t seem to care and was very short with her. I’ll give them two stars because the think crust pizza is good, but its just not worth getting the wrong order from a place that doesn’t seem to care. We won’t be back. Plenty of other places to choose from.

We have ordered from there a decent amount of times and more often than not, there is something wrong with our order. This last time, we got green peppers on the pizza instead of the spinach we ordered. The receipt was correct but not the food. This was a HUGE deal as 2 of the 3 people eating DETEST green peppers. By the time we opened the pizza (we waited fro the last adult to get home from work) they were closed and we could not rectify the situation. They have given us the wrong order, sent orders to the wrong house etc etc. The food is not bad (we LOVE the wings) but it’s not really worth the trouble when more than ½ of the time your order is screwed up. Will send my business to Pommodoro e Mozzarella instead. MUCH more consistent and very yummy!

I’ve ordered here a few times since the last fiasco. It seems that they put things back on track. The pizza is always great. The issue I had was with the mess as far as ordering, waiting for over an hour and then finding out my pizza wasn’t even in the oven. No issues since then. They must have gotten new management or better training. I do really like their pizza. It’s always great tasting and reasonably priced, with a coupon.

Charlie Fox is AWESOME! Their thin crust is crispy and the carnivore is my fave. Heather was my server and she was attentive, but not irritating. My drink was always refilled and they were packed on a Friday Night.

We visited Charlie Fox’s Pizzeria in St. Charles for my husband’s birthday in January. My experience there was just ok. For a Friday night, the place was surprisingly not too busy. I initially visited because I read that this place was voted best in the Fox Valley or something like that, so maybe my expectations were just too high.
Let’s start with what I liked. I did like the old school Trivial Pursuit cards that are on all of the tables. I liked having something to do while we waited for our food. I also thought the food was good. Not great, just good. I’ve definitely had better pizza in the Fox Valley. We started with the Heart Attack on a Plate… ahem, I mean the Charlie Chips (kettle chips covered with bacon and mozzarella cheese) and, while greasy, it did taste good. The pizza was just average.
I did not like the service here. Everything just took SO LONG! Just being seated took about 10 minutes. When we walked in there were people at the counter picking up to-​go orders and we didn’t even get a «be with you in a few minutes». We just stood there, waiting. The staff could’ve been way more attentive. From ordering, to waiting on our food, then waiting for our check — everything just took forever. I couldn’t understand the wait. There were plenty of empty tables so they weren’t working at capacity, and it still took a really long time for everything.
Overall, with so many other pizza options in the area, I’m not sure that we’ll return.

My family and I absolutely love this place, the cozy cedar wood on the walls and dim lighting creates a calming ambience. From the moment we walk in to the moment we leave we feel quite welcome from the staff and owner! The pizza we order is mouth watering and we definitely do not mind driving out of the way to relive the experience over and over!

As far as their margherita pizza goes, I would not recommend. I ordered this pizza for my birthday dinner and it was so bad, it tasted like it was hosed down with water before they boxed it up. I’ve had amazing pizza that cost ¹⁄₃ the price of this and I have to say I’m so disappointed. I love pizza, it’s so hard to get it wrong I don’t understand what recipe they consider «margherita» or how it’s even one of their specialty pizzas… but stay away. I joined Unilocal just so I could review this place because it was just so frustrating especially on my birthday.

We ordered the baked mostaccioli for delivery which was described as having riccota and mozzarella cheese on it and being baked til its bubbling and brown. The pasta showed up an hour later with no cheese on top. What took so long if not the baking process??? When we called the manager he was very apologetic and sent a new one out right away, no questions asked. The second order included the baked cheese but was just not very good in general. We ordered the half tray with an order of cheesy garlic bread and our total came to $ 36.00! I thought this was an outrageous amount to pay for pasta. Although it was a decent amount of food the quality was terrible and for the price we expected much better. After calling a second time the manager was equally apologetic and gave us a $ 15.00 credit but besides that, we won’t be ordering from then again.

Pizza was good. Not much for drink selections. Service was kind of 80%. Is give it another try some day. The room was uncomfortably hot and very loud.

Foods is always good. It’s completely worth the wait, if you want fast crappy pizza then go to little cesars or domino’s. The ingredients are quality and the service is in no way shape or fom bad. They are so freaking good!
I’m baffled by these other reviews that are bashing wait times on weekends, come on people, then go to pizza hut. You’re waiting for really tasty pizza at a terrific restaurant that everyone wants, so yeah there’s going to be a wait. Everyone and their mom orders from here. If you want to wait less time get it from Charlie’s in Geneva, but I warn you, they’re quicker because they are not as good, people from Geneva get it from st. Charles because they just don’t compare.
Their fried mushrooms are amazing! The ranch that comes with is so yummy. And the pizza with Italian beef and giardinaire is sooooo addicting. Whatever cheese they use yummmm, and they even have deals on certain days of the week. This place is worth the wait and the money for sure! Eat here and ignore the stuck up housewives who have nothing else to do with their time but order last minute then bitch and embelish their stories.
I’ve never had a bad experience here, and I eat it a whole lot. Trust me, I had a friend work there once, we went a lot and I still order from here about twice a month. Tip your drivers well! They’ll be happy to rewritten and quickly!

When my now Wife and I were dating (back in the day), we’d go for bike rides down the Fox River trail, down through Batavia, and because Charlie Fox’s was there, we’d stop in. Not to long after it closed. We were saddened. Right now, Pal Joey’s from West Chicago has now taken up shop in that space.
Fast forward several years, and we’re driving down 64 at Peck Rd. and what do we see? Charlie Fox’s! Woohoo. So of course, we stopped in.
Same great pizza. And of course, since then, we have made friendly with one of the waitresses, who we usually get. She knows our order and takes care of it automatically once we’re seated.
Only complaint is that there are only two TV’s, and they can be hard to watch. But alas…
BTW, My Wife has always love the Charlie Fox Pie (or whatever it’s called), for dessert. It’s a big cookie basically with ice cream or something on top of it.

Pizza had great ingredients and the ribs were delicious. Service was also on point. They had a nice dinning room with two plasma’s to watch Sunday night football

Charlie fox pizza is my favorite place to get pizza from. Everything about the pizza is very good. The sauce, cheese, dough and toppings. I have been getting pizza from there since this location opened up over 10 years ago.
The management and workers there are fantastic. Very friendly and fast service. Anytime there was some sort of mistake with my order, which there hasn’t been too many, they have always compensated.
If you are looking for a top notch, high quality pizza, I would absolutely recommend Charlie fox pizza to you.

I specifically joined Unilocal to write a bad review on this place. In all reality, the pizza is not bad. It’s actually fairly decent. My biggest problem with this place is the customer service. My family and I have been here 3 times so far, thinking each time that the service would be better. WRONG! The people working here are not attentive at all. I waited at the counter for 10 minutes on one of my visits before someone even came over to greet me and I know they saw me! Even when we ate in, the servers were very dull and even rude at times.
I believe that a restaurant is only as good as the people working for them. Unfortunately, for this place, the employees have not represented the business well. 3 strikes and they are out, in my mind. I will not return to this place again.

Typical, tasty pizza and really enjoyed their buffalo bone-​in wings. Great go-​to takeout pizza place.
