I drive past Let’s Make a Deal every time I take a trip from Bartlett to St. Charles or Geneva. And every time, I think… I should really stop and see what that’s all about. A couple weeks ago, I finally took my own advice and stopped in for a look-see. I was met by two friendly men who let me wander about without watching over my shoulder the whole time. That was nice. I could look at things and pick them up without feeling like I was being investigated. Most of the items were priced. Another nice thing. Often times, I find that to be a problem in similar shops, but these guys are also wheelers and dealers. Find something you like and it isn’t priced or you just can’t quite live with the price. Just ask! They seem pretty open to working with you. Most of the shop is well organized and they truly have a variety of things to look at. Swords… medals…vintage machinery… records…knick knacks… furniture…books…incense…signs… The list truly goes on and on. So I did pick up something during my first visit and I was happy that they lived up to their name and made a deal. I’ll definitely head back to see whether or not their inventory moves and what else I can uncover.
