Sandalwood Creek Apartments

Since the incident I have been contacted by a manager and they seemed genuinely upset that matenance didn’t take care of this. They have taken care of my issues now. I appreciate the service I have recieved. ANd no, a manager is not paying me to say this. Lol!

Current resident here. Moved in 3.5 weeks ago. Have had about 19 issues with our townhouse from day one. Extremely unprofessional, uncaring, unsympathetic and lazy office employees. Clearly the property manager doesn’t know how to do her job or this place wouldn’t be in such shambles. Paying dang near $ 900/​month to deal with issue after issue after issue. Of which all are being photographed and documented for future use if need be.
Me & my fiancé have 3 children whom we work very hard to support. He works all over the country working his butt off on the railroad song am home all the time on my own with our children. I do not have time to deal with all these issues and lazy disorganized office staff and property manager nor do I have the patience. The leasing staff lied to us about several things about the complex that made it sound wonderful then once the lease is signed and they know their getting their commission they could care less about you. unfortunately, that is a fact.

My girlfriend and I moved into our town house on June 8^th 2015. The apartment did not have washer hot/​cold working hookups, no silverware holder in my dishwasher, medicine cabinet in bathrooms shelves are all broken, both upstairs bedroom door handles weren’t working, upstairs toilet was leaking, because of upstairs toilet leaking the «drywall patch» that was put in due to previous leaks has a 3 inch sag and about to fall, both fans in both bathrooms can’t be turned on due to the 65+ decibel screeching noise they produce and I’m not exaggerating about the sound, the power from the town house to the AC wires are exposed, the staple guard for the carpet going downstairs is falling off sense we got in on the 8^th, my refrigerator’s bottom shelf is broken in half and can’t support more than 3 cans of coke, the banisters paint is peeling.
This has been a issue sense June 11^th. The doors were fixed and the hot and cold were rigged up to work, not fixed.
I am getting extensive bowl reconstruction surgery tomorrow June the 25^th.
They were supposed to address some problems today at 8 am. I am on heavy duty pain medicine and I stayed up all day waiting for them, no one showed up. But at 2:00 pm I saw them at my next door neighbors house fixing his fan in his bathroom. My next door neighbors front door is maybe 4 in a half feet away from mine. I don’t want people in my house while I’m knocked out from medicine and on my back for a week… I needed them to do it today. I did not call the maintence guy for two different days he was supposed to come over because I was sick in bed.
So today I called the office to talk to them. The manager of the leasing people picked up. she was giving me excuses about why it’s still not done. That he would be here tomorrow. I asked if it was possible if she could just bring me my silverware holder for my dishwasher, she said she doesn’t think they have any. And he would do it tomorrow. I then told her they needed to go buy one today and resolve this issue. She said he would be here tomorrow. So I then asked if you don’t have it today how are you going to get it tomorrow, and that is when she wants to be a bitch. She said with all due respect its not a life and death emergency. I told her I haven’t had it sense I moved in.
I have seen this woman argue with a elderly man who obviously had some mental problems inside of the leasing office with my girlfriend and I and other renters. She has resting bitch face, as well as a couple of the other leasing agents. When I have gone up to the other leasing women and tell them my problems, I get there no care/​your problem not mine/​hassled/​bitch attitude from them. It is ridiculous. My girlfriend has 3 children, I work on the railroad. I am never home, from 2 – 5 weeks at a time with 3 – 4 days at home. So she is taking care of the children by herself. We work extremely hard to give our children the best possible lives they can have. I do not need attitude from these women when the business they are working for rents my a townhouse and something is wrong, you need to get off your ass and fix it.
I was never shown this townhouse. Never did a walk through before I signed the lease for this town house. I signed the lease and walked into this townhouse they way it was left/​not completed or hurried so that they could. Get there paycheck and commission.
I was lied too by the first leasing agent we talked to. We specifically asked her if there were a lot of young people in this complex, she stared us straight in the face and lied. The building we live in is like a college dorm, and almost every place I’ve gone in the complex is full of 18 – 25 year olds.
My lease will be up next June, I will be leaving this place and not looking back.

I do not normally give a bad review to anyone place. I look for the good in all things! HOWEVER … This place is THE worst place to live and I have lived in some shot holes, thanks to the military!
After moving out and having my family help, I was told SECTION 8 people live better and PAY less … WTF! What they use to lure you in, is NOT what you get! To ‘upgrade’ to better appliances YOU have to pay a monthly fee (on top of your fluctuating rent)!
The apartment that I moved into was not very clean. The stove and oven hood took two days of cleaning before I would even cook a meal!
My rent was quoted at $ 735.00 a month… But what I would get a ‘bill’ for was OVER $ 800.00… I was told later, it was water and trash… REALLY?
When I say RUN… Do, they do nothing for the tenets! The signs that hang in the front of the buildings… ‘NEWLY RENOVATED’ … The reason… THEY FLOODED AND KEEP FLOODING! You have to have renters insurance, due to the laws in the state, that I get. What I do not get, is ITS NOT COVERED BY THE INSURANCE AND THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THE GROUND FLOOR APARTMENTS FLOOD!
So my advice, keep looking and don’t bother! I can hardly justify this place 1 star it doesn’t deserve it!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

So, rented an apartment, that I couldn’t go see, before paying the complex. Well after looking at the floor plan on there computer, and watching their video that run completely, I figured why not live here? The managers are worst than car salesman. After jumping thru hoops to get this place, I wished I hadn’t. The kitchen is a disaster, appliences out dated, no ceiling lights in the bed rooms, over spray from re painting, over all I do not recommend this place to anyone. Ive in better hotels than this place. A false sense of security, and the new appliances are in the town homes.
