Wehrenberg Theatres St. Charles Stadium 18 Cine

So the 5 Star — we showed up to watch the Conjuring 2 last Saturday night the 11^th of June about 15 minutes before the last showing. We were not taken to our seats as advertised and waited for quite some time before finally hitting the button used to alert the servers. We actually waited longer and after another 15 minutes passed and previews were starting one of the two of us had to go walk around looking for a manager, server, etc. and once we located a person she said I was just on the way over there. So finally as the previews were ending we were able to order the food. Received the food in the middle of the movie and it was actually not bad. The theatre was nice — I am confused as to the difference between 5 Star and the Suite seats. Didn’t seem to be any different, no higher level of service — would recommend you retrain the servers and whoever is supposed to be watching the shop — not to mention absolutely no security.

There are 2 sets of 5 star here. The 5 star theater on the south side of the building (when you walk in, on your left) here is a cheap knock off of Chesterfield’s. The seats do not extend all the way back. It leans to an awkward angle. The chairs are not comfortable. You ache getting out of here.
The commercials they play are insanely loud. I can’t hear the waitress nor can my husband hear me. I was told last time, as I asked to turn it down because I thought this was a fluke. The waitress the last time stated after the movie starts the sound will turn down.
Understand this fully. You know how loud movies are right? These are the super loud commercials like the ones that were on television but blasting in your face in a full screen movie theater. There are SO many commercials at the 5 star now. 5 star is like the Hulu of movie theaters. You pay to be a captured audience forced to be drowned in sound by commercials. They have changed the menu and obviously cheaper food supplier. My stomach hurts!
TLDR: You pay more for mediocre greasy food, LOUD commercials as a trapped audience (welcome to Hulu for the theater.) The chairs are against a wall, uncomfortable and stiff. Do NOT waste your money, if you have been to a 5 star before you will feel ripped off.

***Pay the extra for the five-​star lounge experience, ppl. Doesn’t matter the theatre. It’s worth it.
My BF and I’s first date was to see the Avengers. So, for our anniversary, we decided to see Captain America: Civil War. We chose to dine at Tuscanos and end the night at the Cine 18 Five-​Star Lounge.
The movie was great; The lounge was… meh. *shrug*
The atrium is huge with your standard movie posters, concession stands and scattered workers. The five-​star ticket kiosk is stationed in the center of the room.
We were greeted by a hostess and two workers upon walking towards the lounge. We were seated and looked over the menu for drinks. The food selection is a little more elevated than what’s at the concession. The prices are moderate. The theatre was clean and spacious. The recliners are leather and not as plush as the ones at Des Peres. Service was prompt and drinks were ok.
The experience overall was cool. Not bad, not exceptional. Just cool. However, being in a 21+ theatre has spoiled me bc I don’t have to be surrounded by rowdiness and children.

Wife and I went to Five Star seating for dinner and movie. Service was slow, food not bad. Have not sat in a torn leather recliner and watched movies since college. Expect better for a $ 72 dinner/​movie experience. Run down.

Went to the five star lounge. The service was good. Seats are comfortable and most of the food was good. My girlfriend got the pork tenderloin and it was bad. Dry, bland, and missing all the condiments that where suppose to come with it. So I don’t recommend pork tenderloin.

Great and spacious front atrium with all the feature films at that time. Each theatre has all the «bells and whistles» one needs to enjoy the film at its best. Multiple snack bars and plenty of treats for everyone in your family.

Really disappointed in the 5-​star lounge experience. This theater is near our home and we’ve been coming here for many years. However, tonight was our first time visiting the 5-​star lounge. Now, we’ve visited similar setups at the AMC in West County previously.
First, we arrived 30 minutes early so we could order food and start to eat before the show. The menu is disappointing because almost everything is fried. After we placed our order, we waited a short time for our drinks and then my food came out 30+ minutes later my wife still hadn’t received her food so I pressed the button asking for assistance. After another wait, our waiter came over and I asked about her food. He disappeared to find out what happened and it was clear to us he had not entered the order. After another 15 — 20 minutes (movie has already started now) her food shows up. No apology or offer to take it off the bill. By that point she wasn’t feeling well because it was around 8pm.
Aside from the poor service, I felt like the experience was average at best. The seats are ok but not great and the food options are like bar food. I like the concept but my money will likely be spent at AMC instead if I want the dinner and movie experience.

This is what I would call my ‘home theater’. I especially enjoy their ‘$ 5 Movie Tuesdays’ as it’s a great opportunity to watch movies at an affordable price, as opposed to $ 10+ per ticket.

I’ve gone here a few times. It’s a nice theater. It’s just as good as the ones closer to home. The main reason I’ve come to this one was for the Suite Seats/​5-​star lounge. It’s easier for me to get to then the one in Chesterfield. The seats for the special areas are a nice size and super comfortable. I love that about the place. The other theaters are alright nothing to really write home about to the point where I feel like I should drive an extra 10mins out. That being said, if I’m with my group of friends who live closer to this theater, I would gladly come here.

I remember the late 1990s when this was the coolest theatre around! They’ve redone it a few times and I’m pleased to say after my most recent visit that it still looks good. They have luxury seating like AMC, but their seats are bigger and a little more comfortable. Tickets are only $ 4 or $ 5 on Tuesdays!

Good theatre selection. I love the five star with the servers.
Today I went to a regular theatre. I ordered a hot dog and soda. $ 10. The hot dog bun was hard. I returned everything. I don’t understand why they felt the need to serve me crappy food.
I need to try the new AMC theatre.

Loved the theater, nice, clean and lots of updates.
We watched Taken 3 and it was amazing but even better than that were the seats. I paid for the SS tickets (only $ 25) for two and they were worth every penny.
Not only large, spacious, comfy and clean but they recline and have heated seats. They also offer a Five Star Lounge where they bring you the food and drinks while you watch the movie. That is excellent, the theaters have really turned it up in the last few years.

Very nice refurbished theater. The place is large and all of the screen are large. I have never had a bad experience at this theatre.

Love this theatre, I’ve spent a lot of money here in the 10 years I’ve lived in this location. If only the movies were as cheap as the on on Chesterfield.

Really nice theater. Not being from the area, I had never been to a Wehrenberg. The seats are super comfortable, almost like recliners. Also, now at several Wehrenberg’s (not this one), offer servers and full meals at your seat. Definitely a luxe way to take in a flick.

I love the addition of the Five Star Lounge. Heated leather reclining seats are SO up my alley. I almost don’t want to write this review because it doesn’t seem like many people are aware it’s open yet. Scored 4 tickets to Star Trek a week before it opened with no problem. All the other lounges in the area were already sold out weeks ago.
Service was a little slow, I think they’re still working out the kinks. I really appreciate the fact that they don’t bring the bill until the credits are rolling. I hate getting a bill with an hour left to the movie (I’m looking at you, AMC).
Overall they’re working on remodeling the entire theater and it badly needed a facelift. Here’s to hoping the bathrooms are next on the list because they definitely needed some work. They weren’t really dirty, just old and a blinding shade of yellow. I felt like I was back in high school using those bathrooms.

This is the closest major theater to my home, so I have been here a lot. The prices are high, but not any different from any other theater. The staff is very nice, and they work quickly so you don’t have to worry about missing your movie.
The lobby, quite honestly, is very uninviting. The front lobby is small and people are often crammed in there while buying tickets. However, the inside lobby is huge and a major waste of space. There are video games all over, which I never see being played. It just feels very cold and junked up.
The theaters themselves are nice, but some are small. When it gets crowded, they need to gt an usher in to help people find seats in the dark. None of the patrons will ever help, and nobody can see. The last two crowded movies I attended had a bunch of people hanging out in the dark yelling out to find seats, and nobody was answering them. It was kind of creepy.
However, I choose Wehrenberg over AMC. They just seem nicer, and offer more movie times.

Of the Wehrenberg locations, this one so far is my least favorite. The theatre we were in (#17 I think) was a bit dated. But the worst part was during silent sections of our movies, I could clearly here the movie next door. I don’t think they shut the movie door either. I felt like I could hear people in the hallway.
I’m not sure that I can fault the movie theatre for this, but the patrons here sucked. The people around me were all talking, and one dude even took a phone call. WTF.

I’ve seen a lot of movies here over the years. It’s a decent theater. There are a few issues that have come up as the theater ages. Some of the theaters have developed a strange smell. I imagine it’s from years of soda spilling. It’s nothing you notice past 60 seconds in the theater but it’s certainly offputting when you walk in. Also, it seems every time I’m in there at least one of the stalls in the restroom is broken.
The employees are always very friendly which is great. The seats are comfortable and they keep the theaters as clean as possible with people constantly spilling popcorn, candy, and soda.
They always have a good number of people on staff at the consessions to keep the lines moving. The arcade is decent for kids and teens although there used to be a lot more games.
