I’m so glad that St. Cloud decided to retain, restore, and update its historic theater. Going here for a play or concert or event is always enjoyable. You feel like you’ve gone back in time. Not only that, but the three art galleries are one of the few places in Central Minnesota where you can see art. My daughter currently(Sept-Oct 2015) has art displayed in the lower Studio C gallery. In addition, the Paramount also offers a variety of youth and adult art classes — everything from pottery to stained/fused glass, painting and drawing. I’m so glad that the Paramount is part of our community.

The Paramount Theatre is a restored 1921 Theatre with community and professional shows. The Visual Arts Center has classes and exhibitions for community members who want to learn pottery, glass fibers or painting and drawing from local artists. The Paramount Gallery has great local art for sale.

No link to the Paramount Theater… bummer. If it’s any consolation, the Arts District was super cool and a very safe neighborhood to walk around in. They have an Electric Fetus! Not as cool as the TC one, but I was able to find a 45 for the band we were seeing that night. The Paramount Theater was awesome. I can’t give it 5 stars though — who stops selling beer BEFORE the show starts?
