Coronada Inn & Suites

The good:
The Coronada Inn is conveniently located off of a main road and was easy to find. The room we booked had two queen beds and a full kitchen. The beds were comfortable and we ate a free breakfast that consisted of waffles. The hotel has free WiFi and there are several channel options on TV including a few movie channels. The kids enjoyed the hot tub.
The bad:
The pool was broken and I was told it had been broken for a week and half; my kids were totally bummed. I was charged an extra $ 5 in taxes upon checking in. I realize it’s only $ 5, but it’s frustrating that I booked through a third party website and thought I paid for everything there, only to be nickel and dimed upon check-​in. Our room had a sofa with a pullout sleeper in it, but according to hotel policies there is an extra charge to have someone sleep on it. What’s the point of having it?! Also, there was an envelope in the room on the nightstand with a penciled message asking for tips… totally tacky. The room was clean on the surface, but needed to be deep cleaned.
The lowdown:
All things considered, we would stay there again because of how cheap it was. The full kitchen is perfect for staying a few days if you wanted to save money by making your own meals. We frequent St. George a few times a year and have tried a few hotels. Although this isn’t the nicest or cleanest, you can’t beat the prices for the room you get.

Stayed in 3 bed suit. Kids loved the separate beds and not staying in room with mom and dad. Dirty. Bathroom looked like it hadn’t been dusted in years. Didn’t dare take a bath. The shower pressure was good but the water temperature kept going from hot to cold. It was early evening so not sure why. The remote for the TV in kids room didn’t work. Bar stools were a death trap. Stained carpet, broken glass in picture frames. Even found a couple of feet that looked like they used to belong to a ceramic gnome glued to a shelf. Towels were frayed and had holes. Public bathroom by the pool had no water in sink so kids couldn’t wash their hands. Half of the buttons on microwave not working. 2 plates in 3 bed suite. No napkins/​utensils but the kitchen had a food tray from McDonalds. Breakfast unremarkable. Might as well not offer it. We went to McDonalds. Okay deal but lots of room for improvement. Probably won’t be back.

«Cockroach infected». It is terrible motel.
It’s disgusting. It isn’t worth for $ 45/​night. The cabinets broken and dirty. There was a big cockroach ran up and down in the cabinet. It was very dirty. There was a kitchen but no cup, nothing. Why are they advertise «suites with kitchen «.

Kind of like a forgettable one-​night-​stand, I would never go back, but it wasn’t terrible for a one-​time thing.
All in all, it was actually an okay deal because it was cheap and you get a full kitchen (stove, full-​sized fridge, microwave, double sink) with dining table, couch, 2 TVs, bathroom, and separate bedroom that has no windows (kinda weird, but nice for the insane sun/​heat).
Price was great through Expedia ($ 33/​night). The floors turned the bottoms of our feet black, though, but the bed was clean. My boyfriend and I stayed here two nights on a road trip from San Francisco to Zion National Park. We’re not crazy particular about cleanliness and can make do with just about any situation (we take our own cleaning supplies). However, they advertised that dishes are included, which ended up being 2 plates, 1 cup, 2 coffee mugs, 2 cooking pots, a baking pan and a large mixing bowl. We asked for bowls and they gave us Styrofoam bowls which couldn’t be microwaved.
Also, the pool is indoors and heated, and breakfast is basically pretty great waffles and crappy coffee.
Cleanliness: ²⁄₁₀

Price: ⁹⁄₁₀

Even if you’re a spring-​breaking college student looking for the cheapest hotel in St. George, I highly discourage staying at this hotel.
The rooms are dirty enough to be public health concerns and the pool/​hot tub smell like they are infested with microorganisms.
The staff is unreasonably rude. We came into breakfast around 8:45, and although we still had 15 minutes to eat they refused to serve us.
Spend the extra ten dollars a night for America’s Inn and Suites or Days Inn.

Two stars for being inexpensive and big rooms with a kitchenette. Other than that i don’t recommend this place unless you don’t have anywhere else to stay. The beds were uncomfortable, there were exposed carpet tacks, the bathroom door was broken, heater didn’t work right, and had the most uncomfortable sleep of my whole vacation here. I would find someplace else to stay next time and spend a few extra bucks.

Ask about there german cockroaches! And check in and under EVERYTHING BEFORE unpacking the car!
We had planned in advance a wonderful weekend getaway, for 2 days and 3 nights. We arrived here at night, and after unloading the car, we kept finding bugs: crawling across the kitchen floor, in the coffee pot, on the counters, in the sink. After looking around more carefully we noticed the towels had hair on them, the toilet had feces down the front (had to be cleaned before using!) and the bed sheets had dog hair on them. The manager offered to change rooms for us, we looked at the other room and felt ours was cleaner (can you imagine!) — housekeeping came and cleaned the kitchen and bathroom and we got new towels and sheets. We had to ask for pots and pans — website said it was fully stocked and we planned on cooking. After relaxing a bit — we kept seeing more and more bugs, which we looked up and they were German Cockroaches!!! All behind the fridge and side of counter! We quickly packed up the car (after shaking and wiping our things down) and demanded a full refund. Manager offered to set us up to stay at the Quality Inn intown (at same price), thankfully because everything was booked and we were 16 hours from home!

Come for one night. Stay for one night.
We stayed here for one night on our road trip out west. It was not the cleanest or most appealing place, but it served its purpose for us. We got there at night and it looked very sketch. There was this weird family out front by the lobby. The mix of people hanging around and visitor policy signs posted didn’t help the sketch factor.
The room was a very spacious 1-​bedroom apartment. We had a small kitchen area stocked full of mixed-​matched silverware and Subway straws. The bed was ok, but we quickly decided to do away with the comforter. The room made me feel like there were several stakeouts and stings had taken place there.
The bathroom was a semi-​cleaned tight closet. The toilet didn’t seem like it was attached to the floor. If you shifted your weight on the toilet one side will come off the ground. Upon coming off the ground you were hit by delightful smell of raw desert sewage. I’ve never smelled a pauper’s grave, but I’m sure it couldn’t be any worse.

At first glance of our room this place looked nice. This was until we actually walked through the room. The bedroom and bathroom area was beyond dirty and disgusting. Bathroom had scum on the baseboards and up the wall. The sheets had the little black stains on them as proof to bed bugs. The sheets where so old and thin that they were translucent and had holes in a few areas. The beds had to be over 20 years old. When pulling up the sheets there were huge stains and the metal springs coming through the mattresses. The kitchen is not fully stocked. We found few dirty broken dishes and there was no soap to be found in the kitchen to wash dishes. My children’s feet where black after 30 minutes of walking on the nasty green/​red carpet and complained of being itchy and had what looked like bug bites on them the next day. The pool had so much chlorine in it that it burned your eyes even being in the broken down pool room. The people living in this place loiter around the motel sitting outside their rooms and just make you feel very uncomfortable as they stare at your every move. This place is dirty and old and should be shut down until these issues are fixed. Beds make or break your stay. They were dirty and id had rather slept in my car on the side of the road. Would have felt safer and clean. I have posted some pictures to prove all that is in this review. Hope it helps you take this place off your itinerary

I’m writing this review for my mom, who doesn’t Unilocal.Her and my sister’s stay was horrible. The fold out sofa was broken and no offer to change the room was given. My sister ended up sleeping on top of the couch. The whole place had a sad vibe to it. I post this for her so that others will know to take their business elsewhere. The cheap price is not worth a terrible night’s sleep.

seriously this is fantastic.
for $ 50 (including taxes) we booked a 2 room suite.
i was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews. but this was nicer than many other hotels we’ve paid double for in the past.
indoor pool is clean and very nice.
rooms were clean and recently remodeled. towels were bright white and fresh. beds and bed linens were clean and pretty. newer looking carpet — very clean. granite countertop in the full kitchen and the bathroom vanity.
also — kitchen was stocked with cookware, dishes & utensils. stove, oven, full refrigerator and microwave.

this isn’t some 5 star hotel — it’s an older establishment with older appliances in kitchen — but it’s evident they take pride in providing a clean and hospitable place to stay.
wi-​fi worked instantly.
breakfast included in room rate — as well as complimentary newspaper in the lobby.
i’m not easily impressed with a hotel room. this was a pleasant surprise.
give this one a try when you’re in st. george.

Remember that HBO episode of hookers on point? This is the hotel they were all going. Upon making the sharp right into the parking lot you will see people who look like they live there and that is because they do. The first cluster of units are weekly/​longterm units aka prostitutes, people on benders and people who the state is helping resit benders
Ignoring that the back units are used for daily rentals. Upon entering I was shocked: a pony fridge, bowls, silverware, pull out couch, tv, kitchen table… all before you get into the bedroom.
If the dishware/​fridge clean enough for human consumption it would have been great.
Meanwhile the bedroom was clean enough – new sheets, dirty comforter, so so towels. The bathroom was SUPER small.
We must have had the unit directly over the septic tank and holy shit when you leaned to far too the left you knew it – it being shit literally.
For my purpose of a one night it was fine, but I wouldn’t be quick to reccomend for someone who doesn’t do drugs and wants to spend time in their room.

For $ 45 this place can’t be beat.
So the room colors were a little bold and the TVs were old school. But for the price, the place was clean and orderly. The full size fridge was a nice touch. We went to the grocery store and stocked up for the long drive home the next day.
I’d definitely stay here again without a doubt.
Breakfast was typical for motels that offer free bfast: coffee, tea, OJ, apple juice, toast, waffles and cereal. Not very healthy but the coffee was good.

Im happy to report back, that the GM from Coronada Inn called and emailed us with his sincere appologies and assured us that the problem was taken care of. He then offered us a credit. This has been our little motel to stay for the last two years, as we frequently go up to St George. I was really bummed to think I had to find another motel with the same type of set up that we need for the extremely low price. It is not one of the high end hotels (so dont go there if you expect that), as the price shows, but for us, it serves all our needs… separate bedroom for the parents, kitchen, and sofa sleeper in livingroom for the kiddies… thank you!!!

Ok. We didn’t expect to have a kitchen so that was a plus (and it was pretty stocked with utensils, dishes and such). There was even an oven. I should have expected the place was old, since we were in the middle of nowhere. Ultimately, it was worth the price, but I wouldn’t have paid any more for it. We just needed a place to stay before hitting up Bryce Canyon.

I found the room to be large and acceptably clean. Everything worked and came as advertised. I wouldn’t stay here for more than a couple nights, but if you’re on a budget and just looking for a place sleep warm and dry, this will suffice. The single king included a minifridge, microwave, and toaster, if you want to avoid eating out. The pool/​spa closes unfortunately early (1030pm) but the included breakfast almost makes up for the that. They have a 10% AAA discount. There are a ton of hotel options on the street nearby, so make sure you call around to comparison shop and read different reviews.

Shit Hole. Unless you enjoy filth do not ever stay here. In a town w/​many lodging options there is just no reason. The place is disgusting. I am pretty sure prisoners have better sleeping conditions and better towels. I am sure if ever forced to endure a close inspection the place would be condemned.
