Richens Eye Center is a medical practice dedicated to diagnosing and treating all types of eye diseases and conditions ranging from routine exams for eye glasses to the need for specialized surgery. Our goal is to provide excellent ophthalmic care to every person in each family regardless of age or type of dysfunction. To that end, Richens Eye Center staff members work together to ensure that your needs are ably met. Our physicians are highly trained in their subspecialties, and they bring a wide range of medical expertise to their patients. Staying up-​to-​date with the latest research, they constantly strive to improve treatments and find cures for eye diseases. History

Established in 2001.

«I’m happy and proud to call St. George home. The floor plan for my first office was drawn on the back of a napkin and then on September 10, 2001 the office opened its doors. On my first day, I had 3 employees and I treated 4 patients. Now with over 25 employees and many wonderful patients, we’ve moved to a beautiful new ‘green’ office. It’s hard to believe it’s been over 10 years. I love my profession. Thank you to all the patients who have trusted me with their sight, and to the community that has made me feel so welcome.»

Dr. Sharon R.

Business Owner

Dr. Sharon Richens is a board-​certified physician and surgeon, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons & a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, specializing in the full spectrum of eye diseases & conditions.

Dr. Richens is an expert in the field of modern eye surgery and most recently utilizes the LenSx Femtosecond Laser and ORA System with VerifEye to assist in offering her patients the best, most accurate outcomes available in regards to refractive cataract surgery. Performing well over a 1,000 surgeries a year, she specializes in cataract and laser cataract surgery, lens implants, cornea surgery, glaucoma surgery including the iStent and refractive surgeries such as iLASIK, PRK, implantation of ICLs and refractive lens exchange. Dr. Richens continues to establish herself as a leader in her specialty by consistently continuing her education, never ceasing in her quest to seek out and acquire the most advanced, state-​of-​the-​art technology and techniques available.
