38 Spatial is a collaboration of talented architects and designers. With a presence in the Napa Valley, San Francisco Bay Area, and Barcelona — Spain, 38 Spatial is a full service architecture and interior design firm known for our design of residences, commercial and retail spaces. Regardless of budget or scale, buildings are for people and it is our core belief that every contribution to the built environment should be thoughtful and purposeful. It is our goal to provide seamless client service through the often times chaotic process of making spaces real places.

Driven by content and context, each commission is designed with a sensitive regard to both site and function, coupling thoughtful design with today’s technology. Alexander B.

Business Owner

After nine years of architectural, design and on-​site construction (project management) experience in NYC and San Francisco Bay Area, Alexander Barrett founded 38 Spatial, Inc.

The company bridges his two passions — architectural design + construction.

Mr. Barrett studied Architectural Engineering at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and received his Bachelor of Architecture at Pratt Institute in New York.

He lives and works in St Helena, CA (Napa Valley), where he also recently completed his Broker’s License for assistance in real estate transactions, as well as his EMT certification for help in saving lives as a volunteer firefighter for SHFD.
