The crowd can be a bit sketchy at times but the bar food is very good. The drinks are reasonable and it’s in a good location. A lot of young 20 something’s drunk and swearing loudly bad behavior on a couple of occasions. You just deal with it or leave. We had to leave one time

I used to come home and visit and hit Vicki’s Sandbar back in the day with friends for a night of dive bar fun. I was shocked when I came back and saw the renovations, the total I grade on the food(hell yes on the vegetarian burgers) and every time since coming back, we’ve always had fun. Whether it’s to watch a game on the tvs, or play pool and drink or have a killer burger — definitely the place to go. Always meet good people there and the servers and bartenders have always been friendly. Definitely a great local establishment.

Great dive. Lots of TV’s great for watching sports. Went for lunch and had a burger that was tip notch. Not my favorite in the world but absolutely top five. Will be going back!

My wife & I both had the burger. I had the popper burger(cream cheese, peppered bacon, jalapeños, and jam) on a perfectly grilled bun. Service was great & friendly. Food was good. Dive bar vibe.

Wow, they have really turned the place around. Stopped in for a burger and beer Sunday afternoon and the place was pretty crowded. Unfortunately the bartender was also the waitress and had to bus tables. Nice girl, but she needed some help. Aside from the lack of staff, the food was excellent. Burgers are prepared perfectly and the skinny fries are a must! Saugatuck Brewing Co. Neapolitan Milk Stout on tap… bonus!

Gothic girl bartender never smiles. Only happy when serving friends. Big guy bartender nice guy. But kept leaving bar area. Crowd mostly guys. Juke box and DJ music playing at same time. Strange. Bartenders were told that it was annoying. Response, yeah it is. They did not fix it. Also, I asked them what time they open, they did not know!!! Nor did they find out. Crowd was friendly. Overall decent experience just need to get more engaging bartenders.

You have to try the Sidewinder Fries with Bacon. They are awesome. My husband had the onion rings. Great choice also. Nice little place to have a drink and a sandwich. Kids are welcome

This has been my go-to place for dinner and drinks lately. Their Whiskey Gold wings are my favorite sauced wings in the area. I wish they did a dry rub wing ala Coaches’ Uncle John’s. We split a sampler platter yesterday– the wings were great didn’t care so much for other deep fried platter items but that’s just my taste. Servers are always fun and friendly and their specials– coconut shrimp po boy, fish tacos and specialty burgers are always on point. Nice job Sandbar.

Stopped here with a coworker on the way from Chicago to Ann Arbor on a Tuesday night. The bartender was a very nice guy, and the place had good ambience aside from one loud patron who’d had a bit to drink. We both got the Cowboy Burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was very good; they make patties by hand and the beef was juicy and well prepared, and they have a thick specialty bacon on it that had a bit of brown sugar sweetness and was really good. The set potato fries were good as well. Glad we decided to stop here!

We went there last night(a Monday) for the first time ever, at 5:45 p.m. Kim was both the excellent bartender and excellent waitress. The bar was totally full(though there were plenty of open tables). The room looks great and very inviting. The Christmas lights all over the ceiling(and more) are really neat. We encouraged Kim to have them kept up all year! We went for burgers. My olive burger was a perfectly done medium well, on a toasted bun. The skinny fries were great(I think they’re called sidewinder fries on the menu).

4 of us came here last night for the first time right when they opened and ended up staying all night, and we truly had a blast. This bar reminds me of our favorite little place to drink back home, it’s cozy and inviting, and has cabin-chic décor. The bartenders were behind the bar but would pop around to the tables to make sure everyone’s drinks were full. We didn’t eat, but the people next to us had food and we will definitely be eating next time because it looked delicious. The music was awesome and there were always people on the dance floor. Great crowd, great little bar! Glad we chose this place for our night out!

Oh man. This is probably my favorite bar in St. Joe now. I’ve been everywhere around town and nothing really compares. The bartenders, the servers, even the crowd were amazing. There’s a brand new aura about the place that me and my friends absolutely loved. It felt like we were in a sitcom. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect going in, and I thought it might be too divey, but man was I impressed. I’ll definitely be back.

Great service. Kathy is a delightful bartender. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. As a wine drinker, very disappointed in the selection(if that is what you call it). I have sent back several glasses of wine because it has been skunked or flat. Go for the service.
