History

Established in 2002.

Liberty Oxygen and Medical Equipment was started in 2001, by President and Owner Francis Sheehy. His goal when beginning this venture was to provide outstanding, expert customer service and high quality products to those in need of respiratory equipment (such as oxygen, nebulizers, walkers, hospital beds, and CPAPs). Since their first location opened, they realized there was a real need not only for additional medical products, but for knowledgeable and caring staff that customers could rely on in a time of need. Liberty has since expanded their product line to include everything from canes, walkers, and scooters to hospital beds and bariatric products. They pride themselves on being experts in the field as well as continually providing personalized care to clients. Liberty is a preferred provider for most HMO’s in the Twin Cities metro area, and is Medicare certified.

After working in the home oxygen and medical equipment arena for many years, Francis Sheehy felt that customers needed a partner in their health care versus merely a provider. He opened Liberty Oxygen and Medical Equipment to fulfill that need. Twelve years later, he runs 8 stores across the Twin Cities that are more than a medical equipment provider, they partner with you to find products that enable you to live life on your terms.
