Established in 1998.

I have been teaching in St. Louis Park for over 12 years. I have 40 years experience as a professional trumpet player in all styles of music and am a retired public school band director.

Business Owner

Mike has taught trumpet and other brass instruments for 30 years. He has an MA from Lehman College, New York where he studied trumpet with Mel Broiles of the Metropolitan Opera. He received his BA from the University of Nevada after studing with William Adam at Indiana University. His playing experience includes almost every style of music especially jazz, big band and classical. His varied experience includes the New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble (Manhatten), Berkeley Opera Orchestra and Full Faith & Credit Jazz Band (San Francisco). Presently he plays with several ensembles in the Twin Cities, including: Acme Jazz Company, Bloomington Symphony and Dakota Valley Symphony. He believes in esablishing a firm understanding of brass playing and musical literature of all styles.
