Anton’s Air Conditioning and Heating

After a very unfortunate heating experience during our first winter in our home (last winter… old house), Anton’s diligently worked until they found and fixed the problem. Now, we have a year-​long maintenance contract with Anton’s — they visit in the spring and fall to service our heating and air conditioning. We recently had Dan S. visit to check out our furnace before we turned it on for the year. He was professional, super friendly, wore boot covers in the house, arrived on time, and explained any recommendations he had for our system after he took his time going through each system (not a pushy salesperson, just offered suggestions that he explained very well and had good reason behind). Couldn’t ask for more from Dan’s thorough service!

Great as always. Dan found a problem at our maintenance visit that we can ge fixed so we aren’t suddenly without heat this winter!

Our AC went out one evening and we didn’t have a «go-​to» place. Anton’s was the first place that picked up the phone when I called at 7pm at night. They came within one hour. Our technician that came out, Dan, was awesome. Very down-​to-​earth, very straightforward and conscientious of noise since our baby was sleeping. Our AC is quite old and it wasn’t worth the $$ to fix. However, they made it happen that a new one was installed by 4pm the next day! Our two service people that installed the AC, Jay and Terry, were great. They were fast, knowledgeable and courteous. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I found the service technician to be friendly, knowledgable, and timely. He was able to diagnose the problem and gave multiple options on how to remedy the issue I had. I would recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

The technician is courteous, but be aware, the company hides prices in the parts.
They charge $ 252 for AC capacitor, which should cost no more than $ 20, plus labor,
They charge $ 342 in total for replacing capacitor, while normal price, should be $ 90 + 20 =110.

Our air conditioner stopped working last weekend, one of the hottest this year. Anton’s came out on Monday as promised, and was able to fix the problem at a reasonable cost. No complaints, very satisfied with the service, the technician was excellent.

Bought a loft and first day have water pouring out of the bottom of the A/​C blower. Called and Anton’s got me scheduled within a few hours. Anthony was very upfront and honest when he told me he could not work on our unit because it was a water supplied heat pump. He was not able to provide a full function check so he could not guarantee the work. I appreciate the honesty and they did not charge me for the visit. Still looking for someone that can work on this type of system.

I have an old house built in 1874 that needed a second AC unit to cool the second and third floors. The second floor was not served efficiently by the AC unit we already had, and the third floor did not have AC at all.
Many contractors I contacted balked at the idea of working in such an old house. Some just wanted to replace the existing unit we had, which would not have cooled the third floor, or efficiently cooled the third floor.
When I was able to convince some contractors to install a second unit, they would not deal with electrical or plumbing issues. Which means, I would have had to find a plumber and electrician to handle these tasks.
Anton’s accepted the job, handled the electrical and plumbing, and installed the second unit doing a very professional job along the way. Of course it doesn’t hurt to be an informed consumer and watch the work as it is being done, You know your house best.

from the entire time of being under contract I have not received any quality service.
last year someone came out and told me we had a hole in our furnace and showed me a iphone pic to prove it and they said they had to shut us down and I told them to get out of our house. I have since had it looked at and no one can find any hole.
a few months ago I called for summer turn on our air condition. a guy came out and said the blower was bad and gave me a quote and said I should replace the whole hvac we said just do the blower, another guy came out and said the wheel was also out and should of been quoted to. when they called the next week they said they needed to send a sales guy out, who knew what needed to be done. he came out and looked and said we needed to replace whole hvac.
I called another company who did what no one from anton did, they actually took the blower and wheel out and looked at the issue. they cleaned the wheel and fixed the blower.
everyone from anton was too busy trying to sell me a hvac and not fixing the problem. they didn’t do basic trouble shooting and just relied on flashlights and grainy iphone pics.
please cancel my contract, I feel you should just pay me back the whole amount of the contract paid to date as there was no service or actual quality of performance ever given to us.

I called them mid-​afternoon and they were at my house 2 hours later. Quick, simple, and right to the point. I will use them again.

Anton’s is the best HVAC company we’ve worked with. They are always friendly, responsive and easy to work with on the phone. Our most recent service technician Dan was the best HVAC expert we’ve ever had out. He was professional, explained things in a way I could easily understand and he fixed our furnace!
When I work with Anton’s I always trust that the pricing is fair and the service is high quality. We had to have them come back out to double check an issue and they waived the diagnostic fee — since it was a recheck.
I highly recommend this company.

Terry was a just here for our biannual service — getting the heating system all up to snuff. He was great.
Anton’s installed both the HVAC systems — one in our original house and a second in the addition. We have had a service contract with them for years. They come twice a year — at the start of the heating and the cooling seasons to check everything over.

Called them late yesterday. My need wasn’t urgent, so Tony met me at my house this morning. Had us UP AND RUNNING in no time, and at a very reasonable cost. VERY HAPPY!

Last week Anton’s came to our property in Soulard where they installed a furnace and AC. This was a process that had been started last summer. On a recommendation I called Anton’s to come over for one last bid before we made our decision. I’m so glad we did!
The salesman that came for the bid was friendly professional and offered advice that wasn’t pushy. One thing that I appreciated right away was Anton’s sales. He had seen the service sticker from another company, which he so happened to had worked for in the past. Explained the differences about the two companies (which made Anton’s stand out more) and never once said anything bad about the competitor. As a sales woman myself I admire and respect when people choose the high ground when it is way easier to bad mouth the competition.
Unlike the other bids I received, Anton’s was the quickest to come back and the most detailed. I was given pricing for different models and also what the rebates from Ameren were.
Installation day came, and it went smoothly. The team showed up on time and was courteous and professional. They took great effort to ensure that my house was just as they found it. From the crane to the clean-​up it was more than I could hope for. I am looking forward to continuing business with them in the future.
Oh and the price– they were about 3k and some change under the company we were originally going to go with!

We needed a whole new system. Got bids from four different companies, I was most impressed with Scott and Anton’s. We signed the contract on Friday and the new system was installed the following Tuesday. Scott was very friendly and great at answering all my questions. Jason and Mark did the install. They were very professional and did a terrific job. This was my first experience with Anton’s, it definitely will not be the last.

Terry performed our seasonal air conditioner check-​up. He suggested we replace a failing part, explained the problem, arranged to have it picked up, and installed it shortly thereafter.

Anton’s continues to be reliable and professional in our dealings with them. We have been customers since it was actually owned by the Anton family. I appreciate the upbeat voices and attitudes of the in office staff. They take time to ask enough questions to determine the level of service needed and to explain what to expect in a service call. Further, I love that they now send pictures of the service representative that will show up at your door.
Dan has been our service tech both at our previous home and our new home. He is well informed, can explain the issues to a non-​technical mind like my own and is just plain pleasant to deal with. I never feel like they are trying to «sell» me something. I continue to recommend them to friends and business acquaintances.

When it comes to dealing with HVAC contractors, my experience with Antons was by far better than others. Educated, Professional, Reliable.
