Cortona at Forest Park

Cortona is a beautiful and modern apartment complex that I’d located in a highly accessible and safe area of St. Louis City. The apartment has a beautiful lobby where you can hold small parties and/​or play a game of pool. The complex has a gym, pool, hot tub, grills, and fire pits. Once a month the building hosts a happy hour so that its residents can get to know their neighbors.

I absolutely loved these apartments. Yes they are expensive but they are worth it, especially if you use the amenities (I have a gym at work, my roomie had a trainer at a gym already, we spent most wknds at the Lake and didn’t use the pool much so the amenities didn’t matter to us as much). Now, since my roomie and I moved out, I have heard from people we still know in Cortona that rent went up like $ 200, which I could probably agree is dancing on the line of pretentious but still a great place to live! We lived there the first year they were open and we only moved because we wanted to be closer to a hotspot (we picked CWE). If I didn’t care as much about walking distance location then I would have resigned in a heartbeat!

These apartments are newly built (2014) and have very nice interior and exterior décor. They’re stylish, clean, and come with plenty of amenities. These include a fully functional gym (with a good variety of weights and options, unlike most apartment complexes’ dysfunctional gyms).
The pool is beautiful, and the lobby has a modern style. The whole building is keyless entry with a key fop. This includes the pool. There are two bbqs by the pool and two fire pits. There is a jacuzzi and plenty of pool side lounge chairs and a few cabanas, complete with functioning fans.
The apartment is pricier, but everyone knows you get what you pay for, and at the Cortona, this includes a first rate staff (all of them are great, responsive and friendly), and on point maintenance. I had a problem with my air conditioning on a Friday night at 11, and after calling the emergency line, my AC was fixed within the hour. Great and speedy!
I spent a great year here and the apartment is center ally located, so it was easy for me to get to work at the hospital and also be close to the CWE, Clayton, dog town, downtown and 20 mins from the airport.

This is an amazing place to live! Not only are the apartments beautiful and well put together, the amenities and people are unbelievable. My favorite part of the year is when the pool is open though, because I feel like I’m in Vegas at a fancy hotel! It’s not as historical as some places in the city are to live at, but when I am here, I feel like I am on vacation and with as stressful of a job as I have, being at home and feeling like that makes it worth the money! The prices went up this year which is mildly disappointing but I still renewed because I love it here. The workers here are fantastic, they are constantly friendly and ready to help. I have only had a few issues in the apartment and they get fixed extremely quickly, faster then any of the previous locations I have lived at. Everyone that comes to visit, wants to get a place here, but they are pretty booked solid, so I feel lucky I found this gem as soon as they opened! They have an awesome gym and open studio too, so no worries about having to get a separate gym membership, they have everything you need. They also have outdoor grills which are always hopping. Great place to cook out and have some great conversations. This place is more then an apartment complex, it’s a community of awesome people! I highly recommend Cortona!

Moved into the city from a surrounding suburb and came across this apartment complex while searching for apartments near Saint Louis University, Washington University, Barnes Jewish Hospital, Forest Park, and the Central West End — My search ended quickly after visiting other units in the area! Recently opened within the last year, Cortona has all the amenities that you’re looking for! The agents and staff are amazing and are incredibly helpful! The apartments are top of line, modern, and comfortable. No worries about having a washer/​dryer– they’re already in the unit! Bathrooms are spacious and not cramped and no worries about running out of hot water! Appliances are all top of the line! The complex is very VERY clean! I recommend this place to everyone who is looking to move into the «hustle and bustle» of the city; but enjoys the quiet retreat away from it all. They also have assigned parking spots and some covered as well — No worrying about where to park!
Concierge is always on duty in the evenings when the main office is closed! Lobby area is a great way to get out of your unit and meet others or just to hang out with friend or do homework as well. The pool and hot tub… well, the pictures can speak for themselves! They are a great area to relax after a long day at work or at school! They also have outside grills as well!
With all the attractions and popular locations nearby … it really doesn’t get much better! I rarely give places 5 stars; but this is well-​deserved. Seriously, no complaints about Cortona at Forest Park… Highly Recommended! Check it out today! It’s a great place to live!
