Established in 2009.

Shella Kirchner & Kim Hannon have always been in love with the beach, from living by the beach as a child, to the many trips made throughout our lives… we each bring an excitement for the coastal lifestyle

and art that we wanted to share with others.

They decided to open Ophiuroidea, or as some say, «The O»,

in St Michaels, Maryland to bring our love for all things beachy

and coastal. We are not school taught, we each create what we love. We share different artistic abilities that complement the other.

Shella is a glass mosaic artist, photographer and otherwise artistic person all around. While Kim is also an artist in many different medias, from wine glasses to wall murals to canvases, both are

artistic in many ways that make each day exciting with anticipation of what will be created next!
