With a love of great coffee and a passion for community, I began Rise Up Coffee. Really the beginning came many years back when I had what would prove to be a life changing coffee experience while traveling home from Peace Corps service in the Pacific. My love affair with great coffee had begun. I became fascinated by the global reach of coffee, and the connection it provided to other world cultures. A few more life adventures later, I was ready to give it a go in the coffee business. Initially I had two goals, serve the best coffee, and do so in a politically authentic way. For me that meant committing himself to providing the highest quality organic coffee and doing everything possible to capture the coffee experience that had captivated him on his journey home.
