TriCycle and Run

My wife and I were biking around St. Michael’s on Memorial Day, and my wife’s bike seat broke. I called Tricycle and Run to see if they were open and could help. Laura was just getting ready to close the store, but said she would stay open until we got there. After we arrived with the broken bike, Laura spent about 30 minutes trying to fix the seat but found that she didn’t have the right part. So she ordered a replacement seat post and gave us a loaner bike. When the part was in two days later, Laura fixed the bike and charged us a very reasonable price for the repair and the loaner. This place is absolutely top notch. Great service, great prices, great people.

I was not feeling confident with my bike and was about to head out on a ride so I stopped in Tricycle and Swim. They could not have been any more helpful. Jason put my bike in the workshop immediately and changed my chain and made some other adjustments. I bought a padded bike skort (who knew?) and felt the cost for the work and the clothes were very reasonable. Just last week I went to a local shop w my friend and they put on a bottle holder and charged her to put it on WITHOUT telling her, not good business and we will not be returning. They also allowed me to park behind their shop so I didn’t have to worry about my car for the day. They were just very nice and I will certainly visit them again when I am back in town.

I know enough about biking that I knew my girlfriend needed a seat upgrade after our 8 mile ride from Oxford to St. Michaels. She was not a happy camper and was suffering some degree of pain.
Along the way into town, we passed Tricycle and Run and made an impulse stop to see if we could rectify my girlfriend’s issue. We found a good variety of saddles in the corner of the shop and at the moment my well known paralysis by analysis kicked in :-). Basically, I was at a loss as to which saddle would be the best for her.
The shop owner wandered over immediately after taking care of another customer and discussed saddle construction and design in a very knowledgeable and competent manner. He picked a saddle out of the midrange of saddles he had to offer (I noted he didn’t try to upsale us), expertly fitted it to my girlfriend’s bike and off she went for a test ride.
The results, as expected, were great. No more discomfort and we were able to continue our weekend getaway with no problems. With the new saddle she was able to bike the 8 miles back to Oxford in comfort.

P. S. We also bought my girlfriend much needed front and rear LED lamps for her bike.
